5.0 out of 5 stars Another answer to your question
Hi Lita19
The song Morning Dew (walk me out in the morning dew) was originally sung by the Grateful Dead. It is on their 1967 album called "Grateful Dead". Robert Plant also sang it. The one is the movie is the Grateful Dead version, which is still the best.

3.0 out of 5 stars Answer to your song question....
Hey, Lita19...I know exactly which song you're talking about! I heard it for the first time during this movie and fell in love! I just had to track it down. It's called Morning Dew by Robert Plant. Unfortunately it's not on the soundtrack, but hopefully this info will help you find it elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Five Stars for the boys from Nashville..., September 11, 2002

I have been in the music industry for many many years as an A&R rep for a major label. I heard the band Slack at the Exit Inn in Nashville and they simply put my head on the floor. They are an incredible group and their contribution is the highlight of the soundtrack. I tried to get something going at the label I work for (which shall remain nameless) but the atrophied ear of the corporate machine wouldn't have it. I have signed several platinum bands and Slack is gonna be the next one for somebody, but unfortunatly not me. Good luck to you guys, people, do yourselves a big favor and buy this disc just for their track!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Soundtrack!!!!!, October 9, 2002

In answer to Groovecricket2002 the song sung by Ben Folds is a Jackson Browne song, hope that helps. Overall the soundtrack is great even though I don't think Tommy Lee's Fame 02 doesn't fit on here I still like and it definitely fits the scene in the movie(you know the one I'm talking about). Go out and buy it you will not be disapointed by your purchase!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Lacking some songs, November 27, 2011
This review is from: The Banger Sisters (Audio CD)
Don't you just hate a movie soundtrack that doesn't include all of the songs? Invariably, it will be the one you're looking for! Regarding the hauntingly trippy "Morning Dew," it was actually Robert Plant's beautiful version in the movie, not the Grateful Dead's. It was on his album "Dreamland," but is available by the individual track, at least on iTunes, maybe on Amazon. Hope this is helpful to those searching for it. :-)
People who like that song, might also enjoy 'Black Swan,' by Thom Yorke (of Radiohead), from his album, "Eraser." Similar vein.

1.0 out of 5 stars i'm confused, August 4, 2007
This review is from: The Banger Sisters (Audio CD)
I thought there would be more classic rock on this album. The movie focuses on the older stuff so why is the soundtrack so opposite?

To answer the question about the song playing in the flashback, I believe you're referring to "Crystal Ship" by The Doors. Fitting since they were talking about Jim Morrison =)

5.0 out of 5 stars I need some help Please..., April 21, 2004

This review is from: The Banger Sisters (Audio CD)
I really loved this soundtrack BUT the soundtrack doesnt include one song i distinctly heard on the movie.. I dont know the name of the song or even who its by but its driving me crazy.. The song comes on when goldie hawn and susan surandon are in the club and i believe the song comes on right after "burning down the house" is played. Its sort of a trance-like, hippies, 60's-70's flower child song and i love it...If anyone has any idea what the name of this song is called or even who its by it would be much appreciated!!!Thanks!
