Really good songs!

It is at this point that the very fact that she even has a record deal is nothing short of criminal.

Miley is controversial. Personally, I don't feel it is genuine controversy. What do I mean by not genuine? The strong attempt at trying to shed her child image, and throw away her Disney past is obvious. I don't blame her for trying to break into becoming a real artist. Often, child stars can't break out of that box and become has been's quickly, with age. Despite the desperate image and attitude change, the project behind the facade is an actual solid one. Every artist who begins young has a "coming of age", album. Take Christina Aguilera's "Stripped", the only difference between that project and Miley's is Christina's true vocal ability. Miley's vocal hiccups are covered up on this album by strong production and auto tune. Yet, her vocals aren't bad enough for me to skip the tracks. She has high vocal moments on the project, but the low ones remind you that she's not really a seasoned vocalist, nor does she claim to be.

The album takes you on a wild ride between fun, serious, and often meaningful records. Even, the fun records like "4x4", and "#GetItRight", have underlining lyrics that actually make sense. "Wrecking Ball", is the albums stand out track that actually sets Miley in the "potential" box, and proves that with a lot of patience, and assistance she can turn into something brilliant. All in all, "Bangerz" is an album worth buying. It provides great car ride music, amazing production, and a rebellious spirit. The title describes the album to a tee, it bangs. You will quickly find yourself singing along, and nodding your head, and then quickly second guessing yourself. Don't be afraid to like the album. I don't particularly like Miley, but I like her project. I'd recommend Miley stick with the same producers from Bangerz, I think they've set her up for an actual music future.

Signed,
An unbiased (non super-fan) listener

I'm a 53 year woman with a musical background. I took a chance buying this CD and now am so glad that I did. I love it! Miley has a very unique voice and this CD is an eclectic mix of ballads, pop, rap, hip hop; one track even has a country music "feel" to it. I know Miley is constantly in the news for her outrageous behaviors but, hey, we all were 21 years old at one point in our lives!

I really like the variations of the songs. There's slow, heartfelt songs and also fun, grown songs. I bought the cd just for the two slower songs but then I began to really enjoy the rest of the cd.

I'm not new to rap, but I'm seldom new to Miley Cyrus. She has had a breakout 2013, more than likely her biggest year in the spotlight. I thought about checking out her previous albums, but she seemed a bit country tinged along with soft rock.

Kind of like Hilary Duff, Avril Lavigne, and Kelly Clarkson. But something happened in 2012, Miley flipped the script and became a diva. I'm not new to any controversy at award shows or on instagram, as it will always be the music that defines you, not something to talk about during a work break.

This is the first album I've reviewed that may still have singles released from it. For sport, I'll pick a few songs that I think could be singles, and you can refer back to this review that you found future singles here.

People have said Miley is trying to be a bad girl, but if you look deep enough, she might have a few other messages to say. This is popular music, so if you're around others, you should have no problem listening.

1) Adore You- The current third single. I think it's one of my favorites on the whole record. Miley sings reeaal addictive. It passes for soul and I think it should have no problem charting this winter. Check out the video, and let the smooth vocals infect you. 5 out of 5

2) We Can't Stop- The first single. I never heard this single during summer when it came out. Miley Cyrus is still real catchy, the songs move pretty seamless. I think the vocals are a knockout from first listen. She named this album Bangerz, but it has to be back to back for that to work. Miley is 2 for 2, we'll see if she can go for all sixteen. 5 out of 5

3) SMS (Bangerz)- Hmm. Not as KO as the past two. The beat isn't anyway. It's kinda reminscent of Rick Ross's thumpers he drops like I'm Not a Star.

regardless of your feelings for Miley Cyrus this CD is AMAZING I ordered this for my 17 year old daughter but I ended up liking it too. Adore you is absolutely beautiful, its my favorite on here along with wrecking ball and My darlin' I may not agree with her antics on stage but I certainly love these songs.

I have always liked miley cyrus, but as she gets older her music is more open and she is just being herself. I could relate a lot to this album and so far I think this is her best work. There isn't a song on the album I don't enjoy and I would recommend to anyone who likes a good beat and anyone who is a true cyrua fan

This whole album is nearly entirely unlistenable. A bunch of fake songs of Miley acting like she's some kind of gangster, awful songs with even worse rappers on them. I don't care if this is Miley Cyrus, the next Beyoncé CD, etc., it would be garbage no matter who it was. Worse, Miley barely even sings on half the songs, either being auto-tuned or talking not singing, or "pretending to rap." I wasn't a big fan of "Can't Be Tamed" her last solo album, but compare what it had to offer and it can come off as brilliant.

There are also even worse attempts at basically copying Gaga, but instead of sounding fun, it just becomes off as stupid. At least when Amy Winehouse was on a lot of drugs, she still made good music. This is garbage at it's worst, and I don't know who would rate this high.

Do not buy this; not for yourself, especially not for your kids, not for anyone.
