Yes everyone, the Freestyle/Pop Music label is back, and it's back with a vengeance!!!! This two disc collection is an excellent way to relaunch MicMac Records back into our musical conscience. Disc One focuses on the label's classic jams which is expertly mixed and edited by Baron Lopez. Songs like "Crying Over You" by Soave, "Games of Love" by Tonasia, "First True Love" by Tiana, "Missing You" by Carlie Rock, and others (Gosh, so many "Classic Classics!!") are here reminding all of us what a phenomenal label MicMac Records was and will always be. Baron Lopez mixing and editing is top notch. He places these "evergreens" in a fresh new setting which makes them almost sound new - a blast of musical past!

Disc two presents us with the label's current roster of soon-to-be-classic dance tracks. For this disc, label owner Mickey Garcia works his magic on the mixing decks and "debuts" an outstanding assortment of future radio and club jams. The talent assembled here is nothing short of breath taking as each of these songs could easily be a hit record. Strong productions, strong vocalists and strong melodies add up to a winning combination that makes this CD an absolute must have!!! I wish I had room to fully go into each track seperately, but I will give you my personal highlights even though every track is an amazing piece of music!!! "Radio" by Danille Simeone will be the summer anthem across the country if not the world. A melody that'll get stuck in your brain; a rhythm track that will have your booty shaking and quaking; and a performer who is a definate hottie!!!! Radio will never be the same after this one!!

"All Alone" is a frantic and fevered record by a great artist and performer named Zoe. Watch out for her guys!!! "Sinful Eyes" by Artie & Aby (was he in TKA?)is a colossal duet that is dense in it's production and very busy on the percussion side of things. Another winner! Speaking of Artie, he also teams up here with the incredible Judy Torres for a song that is alive with passion and absolutely soars with Judy's tremendous voice!!!

There's also a track that I can't say enough about. It's by a group called Nu Image. The song is entitled "There's No Love" and, I'll tell you guys, it's almost like TKA never went away!!!
Great things are anticipated for this group. Keep Watching, ahem, listening!!!!

All tracks are terrific, let your ears decide. Mickey keeps the beat moving, and then there are the edits by Dave "The One" Mendez and Fred "The Edit" Rivera which will blow your socks off!!! Wicked production and mix are all over these records. Order yourselves two copies because if your friend steals yours, you'll at least have another for yourself --these discs are that GOOD!!! AND there are future volumes coming out, so get ready for the Attack from MicMac!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just purchased this cd. It is one of the best freestyle cds micmac records have put out. A must have for the freestyle fanatic.

These CD's are HOT!. I grew up listening to all the artists on the Mic Mac Records label. To hear all of them mixed together on these CD's brought me back to the good ol' days.

During my teen yrs I bought every MicMac LP 12" single or cassette maxi-single that I could find b/c Mic Mac was just popping hit after hit! I can now enjoy listening to those great songs w/o having to bring out the turntables or getting the cassettes singles out from storage.

Bangin Beats : Then and Now Vol. 1 & 2 are must have for those freestyle fans! I hope Vol.3 comes out very soon!
