5.0 out of 5 stars Arguably the Best house CD of the year
I think that the other reviewers that said this CD wasn't that good either like trance and think they like house, or prefer hard, annoying, candy-raver house. This is definetely Bad Boy's best all around CD ever. In the past I felt that he littered his CD's with too many tracks, and mixed in and out of my favorite tracks way too fast. One second you'd be groovin' to some...

2.0 out of 5 stars New Style
If you are a Bad Boy Bill fan, you can instantly notice the change in style. Its not as "housy" as his last CDs. It has started growing on me, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arguably the Best house CD of the year, October 20, 2001

I think that the other reviewers that said this CD wasn't that good either like trance and think they like house, or prefer hard, annoying, candy-raver house. This is definetely Bad Boy's best all around CD ever. In the past I felt that he littered his CD's with too many tracks, and mixed in and out of my favorite tracks way too fast. One second you'd be groovin' to some way funky track, and the next your skippin' tracks because the beats just got too ghetto and booty slappin'. Bill proves on this CD that he can still mix quicker than most, and tear it up on 3 tables. But for the first time I feel it can contend with longer smoother mixers like DJ Dan and Angel Alanis. If you are a DJ and you have any of the records on this CD, then you will realize why Bad Boy makes so much more money than you. Every scratch, every beat, and every breakdown, is perfectly timed on this CD. So much so that most people will think the scratches are already on the records. I am so pleased with this track selection, because these tracks define well-structured, funky, and bangin' house. All haters of this CD wake up and realize that Bad Boy Bill is wicked. Oh, and for "A music fan from Pendleton, Indiana United States" who claims that this mix was only done on 2 tables. Any DJ who owns any of these records can tell you that this mix would not be possible to do on only two tables. Bad Boy Bill is famous for his skills on three tables and would never sell him self short by only using two tables on a CD. Also if you notice the way the tracks are listed on the back of the CD, you can actually see that the tracks with an asterick next to them were being played on the third table.

5.0 out of 5 stars Half_Amazing, April 6, 2002

This review is from: Bangin the Box 5 (Audio CD)
For undoubtedly the best live DJ on the planet, is it possible to replicate such efforts on a CD? In a wordYES. Bill continues to trail-blaze the house music genre, leaving his contemporaries scratching their heads much the way Bill scratches on the decks. Bangin 5 represents a continuing departure from the [rump] shaking booty-house days of the bygone era that was the late 90s. In its place, BBB has assembled a tour-de-force in mixed compilations with exceptional track selection, mixing, and of course his trademark scratching. There is no one-way to describe the music on Bangin 5. It oscillates between filtery disco style house to in-your-face house with everything in between being just as delectable. And, as always, BBB gives you more than anyone else with a high quality enhanced CD production replete with a high caliber music video. I made the mistake of lending Bangin 5 to a friend; I dont think Im ever getting it back. Do yourself a favour, buy Bangin 5 and tell a friend to tell a friend.

Bad Boy Bill has a real style in disco house music. Though i like his old music as well, but i would have to give it to him with this cd. I like it alot. he has different techniques that not too many dj's use. he knows how to mix scratch to perfection, which is why he has won alot of contests. he puts his skills to work with this cd. there is only 1 downside to this cd, the tracks tent to be a bit short.. but other than that, thats a really good cd.. get this cd, its bangin'.... i give it to BBB for doing a good job with this prettty one...

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Bangin', September 28, 2001
This review is from: Bangin the Box 5 (Audio CD)
One of the undisputable kings of house has done it again with a CD that fits its title. This CD is bangin'. From beginning to end, Bad Boy Bill brings a flawless house set with the usual flawless mixing, unique techniques, and superb track selection. In fact, after hearing this CD, I'm going to find Bad Boy Bill's own "Everbody" and start mixing it into my breaks set. This CD shows exactly why Bad Boy Bill is universally know within the party scene.

He makes the People dance, I saw him 3 times this Year and
he always plays the Crowd mad.
This CD is a good Overview of his actual Sets.
It's a bit more funky and discotized with a big
part of Sample House like Olav Basoski, and
there is no more HardHouse like Bangin the Box 1-3.
Volume 5 is compatible to Bangin in London.
It's a must have for all BBB Fans and Clubsound Lovers!
BTW, try out "DJ Dan -In Stero-"

5.0 out of 5 stars The Chicago Flavor., March 16, 2003

Bad Boy has done it agian with this great new CD. If you want to have your'e own party away from the clubs this one is a must have. This bro keeps the Chi-town flavor alive with this one. Just keep your balls tight for the next one, you just know in some way it's gonna be more dope than this one. Shibby. Also if your'e in the Chicago area ask about Ryan B or the crew with the Chi-tow flavor CPB(Chicago's Perfect Blend). Abercrombie And Fitch Mexican Dude(Edgar) Shibby.
