Definately Bill,Definately Live-Bangin In London,UNDERSTAND,
By "aaronkane" (Rosemont,IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bangin In London (Audio CD)
Absolutely a good alternative to the usual Bangin'The Box series.Bad Boy Bill steers away from the commercial sounding supermix and gets a little deep in this one(not exactly like Derrick Carter or Danny Teneglia).Bangin'In London is just a typical but legendary mix performance in front of a massive London crowd for all the non-believers who think Bill is just a studio D.J who relies on computers and a CD mixer.Bill is on of the top 5 live D.J's on the planet!Bad Boy does mix a CD occaisonally into his sets just to pump a little more energy into his sets which is OK but not neccessary to prove he's on top in the industry.Bangin'In London is just like the live sets I've seen here in Bill's hometown of Chicago, even alot of the same slammin'tracks and tricks that he unleashed at a rave in January, with just a little bit of studio enhancements in which makes the quality of this CD stand up to any Bangin'The box. Bill starts out with some high quality, pumpin'disco house and quickly converts into an aggressive ghetto track, then;threads in a jamming funk/house track with a really positive feeling and then gradually brings back the rough ghetto track after the right break creating a splended hard edged/funk/disco house feeling in which pretty much sold me on the CD after 5 minutes.I have'nt really been too sold on any Bill mixes at all since Bangin'The Box 3 in 3/98.In the new CD it is'nt so much the tracks,it's just the way he does it!Bill eventually goes into a little more "clubhead" pleasing tracks with more of an emphasis on high energy like "Here We Go" which I'm not to big on but it's catchy and it will rock house parties and jeep subwoofers all over the world!Bill got a little more serious again with some hard hittin'Chicago house then blew me away when he dropped "Neccesary Evil by Armand Van Helden" track 12.Bill doubles up track 12,busts out with 2 different rough scratches while the track plays using the same 2 records, the unleashes a totally different high pitched scratch in which echoes and fades away into the rough beats of Armand Van Helden, unbelievable! The new mix carries back into some more typical disco/funk house and then more towards the middle of the CD Bill displays a little more diversity with a stomping breakbeat remix of "Bodyrock by Moby" which far better than "Stomp to my Beat" on Bill's last CD,that song was horrible to me!The rest of the new CD is par at best but check the new version of "Moving through your System" by Jack Prongo,it's kind of weird but cool, mellow,a good way to end a CD.

Bad Boy Bill never dissapoints!,

Bad Boy strays away from his hard Chicago House style into more Progressive House that is so popular in London. The first few tracks are "ok" but the rest of the CD will have you jumpin' around all night! I own every one of Bad Boy Bill's CD's and this one is by far the best. Highly recomended

Well...,
This review is from: Bangin In London (Audio CD)
This is, of course, typical BBB house. He hits Chicago style, does some booty and then the guessable disco grooves that he's known for. Bad Boy Bill fans will love the album. One reviewer stated that "if you are looking for progressive house" that you shouldn't look to Bill. Well no kidding. BBB doesn't PLAY progressive. However, neither do Sasha and Digweed. That's called progressive and melodic trance. Please learn your genres before you go slamming an artist.

I thought this CD would be reminicent of the Bangin the Box series, but it more of a mix where the songs aren't cut one after another like crazy. Not that that is a bad thing- this CD is a tight blend of hard house, vocal house, etc.... just four four on the floor the whole way through. If you dig other Bad Boy Bill mixes, this one will definitely not dissapoint.

This is by far one of the best CD's he has ever came out with. I like it the most because it doesn't have any hard energy music in it like the rest of his CD's. He has the best mixing skills and the best records. My favorite track is Disco to Disco. Bangin' in London and House Connection 1 are his best CD's ever.

Bad Boy Bill Keeps It Up!,

This review is from: Bangin In London (Audio CD)
Despite some comments I found here, Bad Boy Bill has got to be the best Chicago DJ I have ever heard. I recently went to a Rave in Austin TX and he kicked much! After seeing him, I went and bought this CD and I listen to it faithfully. Keep it up BBB!

A Continuous sound from V.4,

This review is from: Bangin In London (Audio CD)
Once again, bad boy bill delivers his art to the masses and keeps the beat alive in Bangin in London. It picks up from V.4 and gets a bit more funkier than his previous works. A must have in the collection!!!!!!! The beats keeps pumpin and the dance always continues with the works of bad boy bill
