These replaced my file cabinet. They are superior in
(a) They take less space: 2-3 shelves can handle more papers than file cabinets with 3-4 times the volume, not to speak of floor space.
(b) They are more accessible; reducing the filing/search time to seconds.
(c) They are more resilient to a mess; hanging file folders constantly drop papers and receipts creating a mess, which these boxes avoid...

If I have one wish is that they offer these in more lively colors.

Even though these are only cardboard banker boxes, I found that the cornflower blue color really made them stand out as something much more. These magazine files are sitting under my nightstand, holding magazines from the last four years. They are sturdy, nice to look at, and organized.

These are exactly what I was hoping for. A magazine storage/file system that doesnt break the bank. I got the ones in the crimson red color which make it look so much nicer than the old-fashioned brown cardboard magazine file boxes from years past.(crimson red I thought is a little more maroon than red, when i think red i think fire-engine red which it is not. it is a more muted tone. also the box has a glaze on it, so it looks a little shiny.)

I give these a 5, but you have to have some idea of what to expect. They are cardboard so my putting them on a shelf and storing magazines serves my purposes well. I'm sure if I was storing heavier books or other things the issue of strength of the box would come into mind. however you could always reinforce them by taping up the bottoms. which i haven't done yet but may just in case.

These are cardboard magazine files, intended to sit on a shelf and make organizing your magazines easy. I bought two sets. They went together easily. They look really pretty on the selves.

There is a trick to making these up. Following the instructions help, but they don't tell you to push the pieces in until they fall into place and interlock and then push them back where they belong. But once you get the hang of it, you don't need to tape anything.

I haven't tried to carry these around filled. That isn't what they are intended for. They are intended to sit on a shelf and rarely get moved. If you need to fill a box like this and move it from place to place you need to get something a lot more expensive.

I've used file boxes like these for decades successfully. It is time to replace some of them because after 20 years they tend to get a bit yellow looking. They do the job they were designed to do, and they do it well.

I got the directions for folding the end closed...I kept trying and trying and folding and bending and inserting...and finally gave up and taped it shut with packing tape on the bottom. That being said, it's a cardboard box to hold magazines, it functions in that capacity, taped or folded (for those of you less mechanically challenged than I am). Now the one I did get folded (perhaps improperly) I still taped because this is a big box and if full, carrying it could result in the bottom succumbing to the forces exerted upon it...

I'll probably buy more, because otherwise, you're paying a ridiculous amount of money to store magazines. (can we say Bon Apetit and Cook's Illustrated)

I purposely chose the product with the most middle-of-the-road reviews/better price than local big box store. Should have paid more, I guess, & gotten it there. The cardboard is somewhat flimsy, but ok for holding magazines on a shelf, just be sure to transport the box using a hand beneath for support. Most irritatingly the boxes themselves were damaged, despite bubble wrap--looked as though it were damaged in the factory. I needed something right away, so I didn't send it back. But I probably should have. If you are considering buying this to save $ off the big box store price, just pay the extra--it's worth it to be able to check the item for quality of materials and damage.

its cardboard, but it does the job. We have some other ones in the office, with fancy fabric and all that.....these held up BETTER! The corners didnt split! The price, you cant beat, easy to fold up and put together. really, nothing not to love, except they have the card board look. If that bother you, than these arent for you. But for what we needed....perfect!
