The "economy" name suggests that the quality/strength is less than desirable. I have been very pleased with this product. It handles extra large magazines as well as smaller ones. It stands up on a shelf without problem, even if it isn't filled. I bought a case and can finally organize my magazines (I often refer to my travel and gardening magazines) and think this product works well.

I ordered 16 file boxes and 8 arrived in three days. Immediate email to provider on shortage brought no response. After about 2 weeks and not getting any notice on final 8, I send another email to shipper, this time a copy of default Amazon email on resolving shipping problems. I did get call from provider and they agreed to send final 8, which arrived in several days by UPS. Unfortunately the shipping box was damaged and four of the eight were torn in half (made of cardboard). I ended up with 12 of the 16 and decided not to ask for the remaining four to be sent. Not a major complaint, just a review of a strange Amazon transaction.

First of all, the highest praise goes to Office Quarters for offering these boxes at a great price with a low shipping and handling fee. Compare with another seller that's selling the same boxes for under a buck each, and you'll find that they charge 4X the shipping that Office Quarters charges. Plus, Office Quarters sent out the boxes on the same day of my order (a weekend at that) and I received the boxes on Tuesday, coming from NY to CA. Very pleased with their service! Based on their outstanding service, I had to give the item 5 stars to make sure these guys stand apart from the competitor that charges the outrageous shipping fees,

However, I wasn't as pleased with the product itself. Being a school teacher, I ordered these to organize my classroom, and these magazine filing boxes are very flimsy. They're thinner than one side of a Fedex overnight box. I just know these boxes won't last the whole year. My recommendation is to look for these boxes in person at an office supply store and check out the thickness before ordering.

I purchased the magazine boxes in order to get my files organized. And they enabled me to do just that. They were exactly as described and pictured; nothing fancy but absolutely functional! And the price is fantastically low. Had I gone to any office supplies store, I might not have purchased more than 10 pieces. But now, I have 24!

This product was great for my purposes - I wanted inexpensive, customizable storage for my magazines. These were the least expensive cardboard magazine files I could find (even with shipping included). I could easily cut the tops to fit into shelf spaces of varying heights. Being made of cardboard, they are not the sturdiest. When full, I support the bottom when handling them. I've reinforced the seams with mailing tape, which has helped. Easy to put together, and arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

Although these files are not elegant, they are sturdy and easy to assemble, take up only little space until assembled, Bankers Box(R) Low-Cost Fiberboard Magazine File, 11 3/4"H x 4"W x 9 1/4"Dand provide a cheap way to organize and store stacks of magazines or other printed material such as catalogs.

These were just what I was looking for at 1/2 the price of the chain stores. Promptly delivered.

Purchased this item twice. They are a permanent addition to my library. Great for organizing magazines or other booklets. Accomodates digest size magazines as well as larger issues. Would buy again.

I ordered these boxes for my fourth grade students to keep their independent reading books in. They literally arrived within 48 hours, even though the estimated delivery date was over a week away! The students had a great time personalizing the boxes and loved that they were able to color on them, even with marker. They are even sturdier than I thought they would be and are definitely serving their purpose. I plan on ordering another set for next year's class!

Product was as described. It really helped me neaten my magazine area. Perfect size for the magazines and for fitting on shelf. The only small drawback is that the files came unassembled without assembly instructions. Took a little effort to figure out the assembly process, but once I got one assembled, the rest were easy. Very economical way to keep many magazines neatly stored.
