While the impression you may get is that this is a small bracelet, similar to Italian charms, it is not. The charms are 1", so if you are looking for something relatively small, it is not. I love the message though and bought one for my niece too.

Love the bracelet. It's really unusual. I love that it looks like tiny books banded together. I might get the children's books one too. I definately receive compliments and comments on it. Surprisingly, it doesn't come off garish at all. Looks great, and well made.
