I am about half way though this book but unless it takes a down turn in the second half, it's 5 stars all way. Not only is it about Harris, and Lewis, the author briefly touches on the (religious and political) history of the nation of Scotland. I must confess that what prompted me to read this book is an "I can't explain it" desire to live there with the folk who have chosen to make it their home. I was blessed some months ago to meet a woman in a church in Glasgow, who had grown up there, speaking the Gaelic.
