Editorial Reviews

5 Stars --This beautifully crafted story has so much to it than it appears at first; the storylines are creative, the characters surprise us over and over again and it's so very well written that everything gets tied up in the end. A series with a lot of twists and couples who are impossible not to cheer for! -- Nat for Reading Romances

5 Stars--The characters are stellar, the relationship wonderful and the resolution totally surprised me but worked beautifully! I now claim myself a fan of this author.  Oh wow, is this a great read! I simply couldn't put this down once I started. -- J9 for The Romance Reviews

5 Stars -- Tracy Cooper-Posey has cemented her spot on my "auto buy" list with her latest release. It takes the vampire, time travel, futuristic, and M/M/F genres and meshes them in such a way that only Tracy Cooper-Posey can do. I can't wait for this series to continue.-- Rhonda for Vampire Romance Books

5 Stars -- The love the characters found with each other seemed to boil over uncontrollably. This is one hot tale with an ending that definitely caught me completely by surprise. I cannot wait to read more novels in this series! -- Daniella for Coffeetime Romance Reviews

5 Stars--I've read so many historical/time travel books that disappointed me. This one? It was AMAZING. In fact, I'm going to read it all over again just so I can savor the different POVs better. I was really, really surprised by this book. -- Erin Leaf - Goodreads Reader

4.5 Stars--When it seems all books have so much in common, it is hard to find one that is truly new.  The storyline is incredible. I must confess I'm dying to read the next book in the series! -- Dolce Amore for Booked Up Reviews

More About the Author

I have been writing and publishing romances since 1999 when I sold my first two books in the same week (after six years of flogging my work to editors who didn't recognize the staggering genius within). Many of the fifty-plus books I've released so far have been romantic suspense under my own name. I've also squeezed in the odd contemporary and historical romance or two. For a brief stint, I wrote paranormal and urban fantasy romances under the name Teal Ceagh - more on that below.

On March 8, 2011, I went indie. After thirty-five novels published with legacy publishers, I turned to self-publishing, and released the paranormal/urban fantasy romance, BLOOD KNOT, under my real name.

In the future, I will write a lot more paranormal romances (many of them vampire romances) and urban fantasy romances, and quite a few more romantic suspense novels.

Teal Ceagh was created in mid-2009 to allow me to write wildly different types of erotic romances for Ellora's Cave and market them without disrupting my already established readers there. Teal Ceagh wrote the hottest of MMF ménage paranormal romance and urban fantasies that Ellora's Cave have to offer, and that's a pretty extreme jump from the erotic MF romantic suspense I was writing then. I didn't want my established readers to get whiplash.

Lots of people ask about the name, Teal Ceagh.

Actually, it's still really my name. It's my intials: TLC. If you pronounce them, you're saying Teal Ceagh. "Ceagh" is pronounced "see" and it's Irish.

As of March 2011, both Teal Ceagh and Tracy retired from writing erotic paranormal and urban fantasy romances for Ellora's Cave, so Tracy can concentrate on Indie publishing.

When I tell people I've been writing since I was 14 they tend to look at me a little oddly, but it's quite true. I fell in love with Harrison Ford and Star Wars at the exact same moment, and wrote the unofficial sequel in the following year. Of course, I had Han Solo and Leia falling in love long before the sequel came along, and in much more satisfying fashion than George Lucas ever managed.

What I didn't realize at the time, and not for another twenty years or so, was that I had been writing fanfic, possibly the first of its kind.

On a completely off-topic side-note, I used to lie awake at night, listening to the Star Wars soundtrack on my record player, and re-playing the movie in my head, fantasizing about how wonderful it would be to somehow be able to play the movie at home, whenever I wanted. Eight years later I saw my first Beta cassette player. It was the size of a small suitcase and weighed 45 pounds. A few years after that I got to buy my first VHS movie-Star Wars. That was a reflective moment in my life.

However, while things have clearly changed over the years since my first bad attempt at getting a hero and heroine together on paper, two things have not. I'm still writing romances, and I'm still throwing my hero and heroine through a fair imitation of hell while they're sorting their feelings for each other out -- the essence of romantic suspense.

But hey, here's the boring stuff: I'm Australian, although I live in Canada. I still have the accent, although I've been here over a decade now. And I still have trouble remembering it's a hood, not a bonnet, and stuff like that -- you'd be amazed how hard-wired culture really is. It calcifies internally, I think. But the mountains here are stupendous, so I think I'll stick around. Besides, my husband is kinda cute. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention? I met him on the Internet back when it was a few HTML pages and a couple of bulletin boards or two, and me and the kids (three of us) packed up and moved here.

The kids are no longer really kids any more. They're both taller than me now, but I didn't say that aloud, okay? I'd still like them to think I'm the boss for a while longer, at least.

Format: Paperback
Tracy Cooper-Posey has cemented her spot on my "auto buy" list with her latest release, Bannockburn Binding. The first in BELOVED BLOODY TIME series, Bannockburn Binding takes the vampire, time travel, futuristic, and M/M/F genres and meshes them in such a way that only Tracy Cooper-Posey can do. I've never been a fan of futuristic, sci-fi or time-travel books, but the characters and worlds that Tracy builds for her readers is impossible not to love. In Bannockburn Binding, vampires have learned how to travel through time. In the 23rd century, the Chronometric Conservation Agency was formed to help keep history from being changed and causing damage to the future. Vampires work for the agency as time travelers and take clients on trips back to the past.

Natalia (Tally) Marta is a vampire traveler who has taken a client back to Scotland in the 1300's. There, she's captured (being mistaken as an English lady) and becomes involved in a smoking hot sexual relationship with Robert MacKenzie, a Scottish clansman. When circumstances keep Tally from returning to the agency, her ex-lover and fellow vampire traveler, Christian Lee Hamilton, jumps back in time to help bring her home. Plans quickly change and we soon get the pleasure of enjoying Tally, Rob, and Christian's sizzling relationship taking place in the past.

Intertwined in the Tally, Rob, Christian story line is a cast of supporting characters that are just as intriguing. While our threesome is back in Scotland, there is a lot going on back in the future at the Agency. While reading the book you wonder if you are simply being set up for future books in the series or if there is more going on. Twists and turns throughout the book keep you guessing until the very end when everything gets wrapped up neatly.

Its the twenty third century. Humans and vampires exist side by side on earth, but the old prejudices still remain. Not all humans like or trust vampires. Many technological advances have been achieved in this time, among them time travel. It is now possible to travel back into the past. The Chronometric Conservation Agency, oversees all time travel. Humans can book trips into the past and are taken back in time by a traveller. Travellers are always vampires, this is because their memories are perfect, whereas human memories are often inaccurate.

Such a traveller is Natalia "Tally" Marta, she has travelled back in time to take a human to the siege of "Stirling Castle" in 1314. But Tally and the human have been captured by Robert MacKenzie, a Bruce Clansman. Trapped and unable to escape Tally's only hope is to wait for rescue, hoping the agency will send another traveller. Tally is a vampire, but once vampires travel back in time that part of them that makes them a vampire goes into stasis. So they become human again. But they may only remain in the past for a limited time before they start to suffer stasis poisoning.

Help when it arrives come in the shape of Tally's former lover. Vampire Christian "Lee" Hamilton. When he arrives it is to find that Tally and Rob have become lovers. But Lee and Rob are also attracted to one another. Can this work between the three of them. Because Tally and Lee must return to their own time.

When the author asked me to review this book the first in the series. I wondered how she was going to achieve vampires, time travel and an erotic romance all in one book. But I need not have worried she has managed to successfully merge all the elements beautifully. The writing is sophisticated and polished.

Bannockburn Binding is the first book in the Beloved Bloody Time series by Tracy Cooper-Posey. If the other books are like this one they will all be a homerun. The storyline combines the best of time travel, vampires, mmf bisexual menage, suspense, and romance. I know it seems like a tall order but this book really delivers.

The story is set in the 23rd century. Natalia Marta is a time travel agent/escort that takes travelers to their desired destination in history. While on a traveling adventure Natalia is abducted by Robert Mackenzie. While his intent is to hold her hostage and keep her from harm the tables turn and he becomes a willing prisoner to the passion between them. Their chemistry was so realistic I could feel the sizzle. I loved that the author allowed the female to take the lead in their affair. It was hot, hot, hot, and our lead male was a more than willing student. Despite being from different times their love was so sweet that I found myself crying thinking about the time they would have to leave each other. A sudden turn of events makes it even more crucial that Natalia return to her time. Fellow time traveler, Christian Lee Hamilton, arrives on the scene to rescue Natalia but finds he may be in need of rescue because he is attracted to Robert. This is the point where I really couldn't tear myself away from the book. I was totally vested in the characters and the storyline---wondering how could they leave Rob and stay healthy. I literally stayed up and read through the night to make sure they were going to be okay. It turns out that they are more than okay and there is a surpise twist that you will love at the end.

I've read many of Tracy Cooper-Posey's books, and I'm happy to report that this one lands among my most favorite.
