4.0 out of 5 stars Satisfies the Craving for New Rock November 10, 2011
Format:Audio CD
The new offering from ETA is indeed a trip worth taking. They have followed the masterpiece that is Queens to Eden with a diverse collection of songs. There is something about this band's sound that equates sheer addiction. My personal favorites In A Hurry, Reach and Little Says display the bands hard-rock prowess, while songs like Hold the Light and Getting Wierd Without You demonstrate a softer side. There is not a bad song here and most of them will stick in your brain long after listening to them. This is the first CD I've purchased in months and it was well worth the $10. I hope ETA makes a tour stop in Denver because that would be a hell of a show.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very dissapointing October 22, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I believe I am being generous with the 3 stars. I would say 2.5 maybe. The energy level has fallen off dramatically from previous work and I am not sure what audience they are going for. Before it was "we are going to bring rock back" but Banquet doesn't do that. This was a long wait for a less than average output. Some of the softer stuff is o.k but Little Says and Run Your Mouth are the highlights. This is the type of CD you put on the home stereo or on your computer and just let it play while you are doing something. I've layed in bed listening to it and fallen asleep. It's o.k to have a few CD's around that you can do that to I guess. Doubt I will be listening to it in the car. There just isn't anything special here. It isn't bad or awful it's just there. You kind of wait for it to go somewhere and do something and it just kind of lays there. Hopefully this band moves back towards their previous effort on the next one.
