Keats was right- beauty is truth.,
By Human Reed (N. Calif) - See all my reviews

Simply the most achingly beautiful performance of music I have ever heard. These serene rags, as rendered by Sachdev, are as pure an embodiment of life's longing for its own heart as you are ever likely to hear. Sachdev is at one with his instrument, and the result is beauty almost unmediated. Is it possible for a human to play an instrument better than he plays the bansuri?

I searched long and hard for flute music not contaminated with distracting complexity. This music is honest and true. I listen to this CD every day and still often find myself admiring its aplomb.

Wow, gush, gush. This is one peaceful album. It can be a real Peace mood setter. There were times when the background sitar sounds that crop up from time to time jarred with my tastes, but only because the tone of the bamboo flute is so fantastic that is seemed a shame to mix it with anything at all.
