We just bought this slide and are returning it. The slide in the picture has a full layer/inflatable tubing underneath the pool. The slide we got does NOT. We called the company and got right thru to customer service, unexpectedly, and they informed us that to "cut costs" they removed the bottom layer of inflation. The first time our 4 year old daughter went down the slide she bounced on the bump in the slide, as designed, and landed in the 4 inches of water with no padding. It was a hard jolt to her spine and she immediately cried. It was a very hard landing with no padding. We had similar results when our 6 year old son went down, minus the crying. Please beware that we feel that this slide is NOT SAFE for your children until they make this slide with the air cushion underneath the pool again. We are looking to buy another water slide, probably from the same company, provided we can assure that it has the proper padding. I hope this helps others avoid our headaches with this specific product.

I've owned a couple other Banzai slides over the years (The Blast and The Plunge) but this one comes the closest to an ideal slide for kids to enjoy and parents to maintain.
First of all, let me just say the kids love this slide -- it's Banzai's tallest slide, has a cool little tunnel which, to me, really helps make the slide more watery, and has a wave (bump) that makes the smaller kids catch some air. BUT, for some short-sighted reason, the very bottom of the slide, the last 5 ft. or so, is not padded. The first time I set it up, my kids went down the slide, launched off the wave bump and landed on the unpadded bottom. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Not wanting to flush $399 down the toilet, I went out and bought two $10 air mattresses, inflated them and snugly placed them side by side UNDER the bottom of the slide. Thankfully, this did the trick and, in no time, our new slide was back in business. Also, after owning 3 Banzai slides, one thing is for certain -- holes will eventually appear ... especially at the seams and where there is a lot of friction. No sense in getting upset. Just gotta face it and embrace it. My new slide came with two seam holes. So, when you order one of these slides,

This was a huge hit at my son's 5th birthday party. My son would rather play on it when he has playdates so he doesn't play on it too much if it's just him, but he does love it. I purchased a huge plastic storage bin for it because trying to dry it out, roll it up, and drag it to the gargage just wasn't happening. It fits perfectly in the storage bin.
