My one year old daughter loves this!

It also doesn't stay inflated because the yellow ring around the actual pool is filled with water from a running hose.

All that being said...I still think this is a good product and fun for young kids.

Bought this at Target, and ended up returning it after one use. Here are the problems I found with it:

1.) The sides are "inflated" with water, not air. So you have to have the hose running the whole time you're using it. In addition to using a lot of water, this makes the water continuously freezing cold.

2.) Because the inside of the "inflatable" parts are filled up with water, when you empty it it's pretty much impossible to get the water out from inside them. Not being able to get the inside of it dry seems like a perfect recipe for mold problems.

3.) The sides are very shallow, so unless you're using it on perfectly flat ground, it doesn't fill up very much before overflowing.

Very frustrating, and glad I returned it!

Bought this from Target and was very excited to get it home. This isn't my first baby/toddler pool experience.
I love that is inflated with water instead of air, funny because others found that annoying. I filled up to capacity and then lowered the water coming out of the hose. (otherwise it is a giant sprinkler and the kids don't like that much water in their faces) We don't have a issue with the water being cold, as we have had a hot summer!
It fills up with just a few inches of water so it isn't deep, and as the sides are filled with water it is easy for a 12+ month old to navigate. The little rainbow cave is my LO favorite spot. Just sits there enjoying the very bright colors. The ring toss is fun but the dog ate the rings, bummer! We don't use the slide portion as my LO just like the more water to splash around.
All in all a good design, not to deep, reasonable amount of toys/extras and we drain it hanging on a fence over night and fold it in a ball the next day. No mold, no problem getting the water out.

This toy, when it is hooked up to a hose, it very fun. My son enjoys playing with the water as it shoots up and loves the inflatable animals. However, the hose has to be connected the entire time in order for the water to continue to shoot up. The problem with that is (other than a constantly running water) is that the pool very quickly overflows.

This toy would be perfect if it came with some kind of system to recycle the water in the pool. My wife and I are planning to modify it so that it does recycle, all being it doesn't cost a ton of money.

This pool is cute and my little one enjoyed all the accessories, but the outer wall is held up with the continuous flow of water, not air as I thought when I bought it. The result is that the pool overflows and aside from wasting a ton of water, makes a muddy mess in the yard. Also, because the water has to flow continuously around the outer edge in order to keep water in the splash pool it never has a chance to warm up, so unless your child likes to play in frigid water, its useless.

I want to love it and give this 5 stars, but there are a few issues which I will list at the end.
This splash pad is awesome though. I first saw it at a friend's house and her kids loved it. I loved watching them play in it so much that I had to go home and buy one. I did so knowing my boys would only get about one more month of weather hot enough to play in a "pool". However, I am not totally crazy...I do believe they will play in this when they are 2 and 3 years old as well (they are currently 13 months).

Although there is a very slim chance of any kid drowning in this "pool" as water only gets about 1 inch...I still highly recommend watching your children closely due to the slip factor. Water + plastic = slippery. I didn't count this as a negative because nothing can be done about that.

Facts about this product you might not know from looking at the picture or details:
1. It takes a lot of air to inflate all of the inflatable bits. We had an air compressor and it still took about 20 minutes.Things that inflate are the palm tree, the dolphin, both sides and the inside of the slide, the rainbow canopy, and the star "rings" that stack. Deflating them takes even longer.
2. You must keep hose hooked up to product at all times to get the "sprinkler/fountain" effect.
3. The yellow tube surround is not inflatable it is water filled.

Pros:
1. The inflatables stay nicely inflated.
2. It really is quite safe. We chose to place it on our back patio made of concrete with some of those foam tiles that you can use in a play room. This gave it a good cushion and made it even safer. We could have put it on our little patch of grass, but that grass would have been dead in under a week.

Let me give some advice to the other customers who don't like this product. Yes the water does have to be running to keep it inflated. If you just turn down the hose pressure about halfway or less, it will stay inflated but the sprinkler will only be a trickle. Also saving money and not wasting water. BTW, there was no difference in my water bill. Yes the water coming out of the hose is cold. What a shocker...smh. SO, we brought some hot water from the bath tub out to the pool to mix with the cold water making it a perfect temp. And it doesn't get cold cause the water inflating the pool isn't blasting cause it's not on high pressure. Yeah, you have to put a flat pool with 6 inch sides on level ground. So if your yard is a hill this wont work for you. Check for rocks and sticks before you put anything inflatable in that spot. Our baby loved this and yours will too. Just remember what you read here and you'll be fine. I had no problems, tears, mold or leaking. I hung our pool out in the sun draped over a fence and that emptied that water out just fine. I would only use it for one summer, just to be safe. Only because I don't know how you store your pool toys. This is for babies, not older kids. Kids can play on it but it's made for babies in mind. That's why it's so shallow. I love this baby pool. It has everything. A slide, more than one inflatable friend to play with so kids don't fight over them, blow up toys, and even shaded spot for them to get out of the sun. We love it!
