5.0 out of 5 stars Review after day two...............
I have read a lot of really bad reviews about this company's products but I still went and bought a slide for my kids. I bought mine yesterday at Target or spring break. So far it is doing fine. My 2 kids and their friends, all under 70 lbs, have spent a total of 6 hours climbing and sliding to their hearts content. We have had no problems and I'm really thankful because...

1.0 out of 5 stars Another flop from Bonzai - fun yes, quality NO.
Having tried several of the Bonzai products, this has lived up to all the rest - it has flopped in the durability column and quality column. Of course it's fun, but for the price, it should last longer than a day or a week. My son is less than 50 lbs and played on this alone with supervision - ahhh, but there were the same split seams as in the past. Where is Bonzai to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Review after day two..............., April 1, 2010

I have read a lot of really bad reviews about this company's products but I still went and bought a slide for my kids. I bought mine yesterday at Target or spring break. So far it is doing fine. My 2 kids and their friends, all under 70 lbs, have spent a total of 6 hours climbing and sliding to their hearts content. We have had no problems and I'm really thankful because these things cost a lot of money. I have a few suggestions if you get one. Don't wait until the pool is filled with water before you let the kids play or it will take forever. Also the water sprinklers, because they are on all the time, do end up filling the pool. So after maybe 2-3 hours the pool filled and the weight of the water caused the end of the slide to deflate but its not a defect at all its just there was too much water in the pool part. After we drained a little of the water the bottom of the slide was back to normal. From what I can tell this is a really well made product. Hopefully thats because they went and upped the quality from the past years models and bad customer complaints. If I have a problem I will redo my review. As I bet you are, I was terrified to buy this thing after all the bad stuff I read. But so far I'm really happy with my purchase. Just keep a hawks eye on it and fix anything thats comes up asap. Oh and I have taken others advise and I have backup duct tape(it came with a repair kit but I want to be safe) just in case something rips. Have fun cause your kids WILL LOVE THIS!!!

My son is less than 50 lbs and played on this alone with supervision - ahhh, but there were the same split seams as in the past. Where is Bonzai to make good on it? Trying to track them down is a joke. Waiting a year for a replacement was even a bigger joke. To make matters even worse, it wasn't even replaced with the expensive one purchased. It was replaced with a straight slide that is about half the cost. Sorry, you can be the hit of the neighborhood for a few days, but in the end, you are going to be out several hundred dollars and a lot of aggrevation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend for fun all summer long, October 10, 2010

I've had really good luck with this product. I purchased it for my 2 grandson's (age 5 and 6, about 40lbs and 50 lbs) and they used it all summer long without any problems. It is easy to set up (about 2 minutes to inflate) and quick to fill up with water so the kids didn't have to wait to start playing. I'm not sure why other people have had trouble with the quality. My grandson's were pretty rough on it and I didn't have any tears at all. Air seeps out of the seams intentionally, as stated in the instructions so we didn't panic at seeing air bubbles at the seams. I plan on buying another larger Banzai water slide when the kids get bigger. Worth every cent I spent considering the many hours of playtime.

My kids had a blast on this slide! It provides hours of fun just in your own backyard. It's a great alternative to having to take them to the community pool or a water park. It's great for parties and just having friends over! My kids love having their friends over and playing on this slide. They are pretty rough on it but I've never had any problems with it. It only takes 2 minutes to inflate and provides hours of fun. I will continue purchasing Banzai products!

bought this for my son's 6th birthday party - had 8 boys playing on it for hours and it was great. have used it often since and still great. Dry time (to put it away) is a bit tricky to manage since it takes a couple days to get it perfectly dry and we can't usually get the kids out of it for that long.

After much careful consideration I decided to buy this slide for our 3 children ages 8, 5 & 3. We had "The Plunge" slide by Banzai, which lasted about 2 seasons before it lost its structural integrity due to weakening seams all over the slide. We just finished our first weekend with the slide and it was great. Better than "The Plunge" in that it holds less water, is much easier to clean, dry and put away, is probably safer b/c it has walls alongside the slide, is lighter & stores smaller. "The Plunge" holds so much water in the pool that you end up leaving the slide blown up all day long b/c you don't want to waste/release the volume of water. This slide can be shut off periodically throughout the day when the kids are taking a break. I was concerned that it would be a bit small for our 8 year old, but it's fine-probably OK for a child up to 10/11 years old. Two shortfalls of this slide are that larger kids fly right over the pool wall at the base of the slide b/c the length of the pool there is short. I've also noticed the kids have various rub burns, none too serious, just something we never experienced with "The Plunge". I'm happy we bought this slide-lots of fun and hopefully it will last longer than 2 seasons.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Fun for Everyone!!, May 18, 2011

After doing a lot of research we bought this slide. It has been our experience that when you take good care of these slides and follow the weight guidelines that you can get a lot of use out of it. We have been averaging two seasons with each slide we've bought - we already used this for one whole summer and have had no problems. We took it out for a couple of the 85 degree days we've had already this season and it worked exactly as it should! The kids have a blast with this slide and pool and are entertained for hours. My husband is very anal about emptying it at the end of the day and drying it out and folding it up nicely for the next use. It takes another 15 minutes to fold it up and put it away but with all things you value, if you take good care of it, you will find that it will last much longer. We have had good experiences with Banzai products, including this one.

Bought this for my 8 and 11 yr old daughters. After just a couple hours of fun on it, it already had a hole. They didn't even get a full day's worth of fun out of it. Returned it to Target and looking for a different brand now.

2.0 out of 5 stars Banzai Splash Blast Water Slide, June 30, 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Banzai Splash Blast Water Slide (Toy)
We bought this at Kohl's during a Memorial Day sale and got a very good deal on it, although this was not the slide I originally wanted. I must say, the kids did have hours of fun on this, but it only lasted less than a month! Right out of the box the ballast bags had holes in them so I called customer service which is very hard to get through to. I had to call 3 different times and speak with 3 different people before they finally shipped out new ones. Then 3 1/2 weeks later the slide stretched out beyond repair and I called customer service again and was told I had to email pictures, etc... Then the sprinkler broke and water was spraying all over the place. I never liked the idea of the sprinkler anyway because the water never fully stays in the pool and it sprays everybody watching who don't want to get wet. I finally got fed up and returned it to the store. I plan on buying a different one without a sprinkler and one with 2 slides. If you have more than 2 kids, it's worth it to get a double slide because otherwise they will be fighting over it. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this one.

I bought this slide from Kohl's with great expectations. We were quickly let down by this product, we used it only twice and the seam in the front (where the kids slide into from the slide) came apart, approximately 2ft. long. Thankfully, I was able to return it and I will learn my lesson and never buy something like this again. I have been told that some things are meant to fail and this is definitely one of them. (and, no, none of the kids that were on it were over the weight limit!) Be smarter than I was and save your money!
