I enjoyed this book, since I was recently in South Africa and saw lots of Baobab trees. Now I know a lot more about them. A useful book, with good pictures.

4.0 out of 5 stars Trees 2000 to 6000 Years Old! September 21, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a nostalgic trip back to Africa and the Baobab trees. There were two photos that were spectacular: the Grandidier's Baobab and the Australian baobab trees.

The photos were pint-sized; I sense that the author was trying to show the overall majesty of these magnificent trees. However, it was hard to see the details. Even the photo of the author was postage stamp sized.

One thing I was surprised by was the possibility of growing a baobab on one's own! I thought they would only live in hot, arid climates. Bruce Bullock even offers websites where baobab seeds are sold!
