THE FIRST TIME I MET PARIS TOON WAS when Carefree Sound Studios was under construction. We were under the gun as we had the supergroup YES rolling in for a two week pre production session. Paris introduced himself, and the man with him(GEORGE BENSON) introduced himself. I really thought i was cool, since YES had sold some EIGHTY MILLION RECORDS. When GEORGE BENSON said hi, i was in a little bit of shock, thinking "is this george benson, or GEORGE BENSON WITH THIRTEEN GRAMMYS AND MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF RECORDS SOLD. Then i saw a brand new Rolls Royce, and my dog Bonnie was jumping in it!!!!! I think Paris thought that i was a proponent of white music like Tommy Roe, the Union Gap, and the Box Tops, and although i have played with some of these oldtimer rocker people in the day, my main experience was with SUN RECORDS as an R and B bass player! When i heard the first Paris Toon song, performed by a group from Boston and NYC i knew that i was in for a great ride at the studio. Here is the first record and you need it. Kippy
