Wow, is this book ever in depth! If you want to just bartend or run a full fledge bar, this is a good book. I got it because I am building a bar on the back of my home, by enclosing a large porch, and with limited space I want to design the layout of my bar properly. This book has photos, sketches, and lots and lots of really good information. It runs from lay out and design to history of different liquors,etc. Still reading it.

if you want to expand your horizon regarding everything around bar and beverages, then this is your book. Easy explained and well organized. Even though new editions will follow, the basics will stay the same.

THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST BOOK WRITTEN FOR BEVERAGE MANAGEMENT, BARTENDING, AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR BAR OPERATIONS. IF YOU OWN ONLY ONE SUCH BOOK ...THIS IS IT.

This is a required text book for a university class I am taking. I ordered the book on January 24 2008. The class is half over and I still have not received this book. The only review I have is one of dissapointment. I would imagine that the only way that this system works is if you order a text book a semester in advance so that it may arrive in time for the class.I had to buy a full priced new book after a week or two without the assigned text book. I will not use Amazon to order text books again.

This book is deffinatly one you should buy if your starting a bussines, in this feald.
