5.0 out of 5 stars What WON'T this stuff clean?, January 24, 2008
This review is from: Bar Keepers, Cleaner Friend, 12 OZ (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
Well, OK, you can't take a bath in it or use it on delicate surfaces like finished wood and nonstick cookware, but for just about any hard nonporous material, it's the cleaner to reach for.

It's the Fountain of Youth for your stainless steel cookware, removing rainbow heat marks and mineral discoloration with minimal elbow grease. Used with a lighter touch, it makes your heirloom Corning Ware original Pyroceram cookware sparkle like the day Mom bought it. Ditto for Pyrex and Anchor Hocking glass ovenware, as well as stoneware slow cookers. I use it to clean those little specks off the window in the oven door after a self-cleaning cycle. The window's as clear as the day they delivered the stove.

If you're a fan of unlined copper bowls for beating egg whites, you already know about tarnish. A couple minutes with some Bar Keeper's Friend, and that copper bowl is ready for another batch of meringue or Belgian waffles.

5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff is magic!, May 30, 2008
I use Bar Keepers Friend for really ugly, hard to clean stuff. I cook with stainless steel, and sometimes with pasta, or beans, they leave their images on the bottom of my pans. My sister didn't care what her pans looked like as long as they were clean. That is until she saw my really, really old pans looking like brand new ones. She's now a convert. I tried Comet, & Ajax, but nothing comes close to Bar Keeper Friend. Just a little one the pan, a wet sponge, and TA DA! done, clean and beautiful.

I honestly recommend Bar Keepers Friend.

Wow, this stuff is great. Tried it on an old stainless steel pressure cooker and it looks brand new!! Other cleaning agents did nothing. I highly recommend this product.

I have a set of stainless steel pots and pans. Everything sticks to them. Bar Keeper's Friend makes clean up easy. Just run a little water in the dirty pan and sprinkle Bar Keeper's Friend on the surface. A few minutes later a quick wipe and the pan is stain and sticky stuff free and ready for the dish washer.

5.0 out of 5 stars TOILET SCRATCHES FROM A SNAKE; GONE!, March 23, 2011
This review is from: Bar Keepers, Cleaner Friend, 12 OZ (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
I recently used a snake to unstop my toilet. It worked but left several scratches. These my wife didn't appreciate! I learned the cleaning method online: put Bar Keeper's Friend in toilet and let set for 5 hours. I did and now I can't find any marks! The best two bucks I've spent in a while and I'll keep using it.

This cleaner works great on enameled cast iron. I am amazed how easily it removes stains that other products could never remove, regardless of how hard I scrubbed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seeing is Believing - Photo Added, July 26, 2011
This review is from: Bar Keepers, Cleaner Friend, 12 OZ (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
I was looking on Amazon for a set of new cookware when the 'suggested items' section showed Bar Keepers Friend. Thank goodness it did - I had never heard of it but it saved my pans from the trash. Check out the photo I added - you can see how bad the pan was - and the little area where I and used BKF is almost like new again. It's amazing.

The directions indicate to make a paste for bad stains. I used a very small glass dish to mix (no damage to glass). I put on some kitchen gloves and scrubbed. Wish I would have known about this product sooner, would have saved me a lot of elbow grease.

Bar Keepers Friend is a terrific product that every household with stainless steel needs. It polishes without scratching and I use it for everything stuck on my stainless steel cookware or flatware. Furthermore, I'll even grab it when my glass bakeware has something stuck on it.
