Good but not what I expected.,

You get a lot of music for your money with this 3 CD set. I bought the set after I heard several songs from it. I got it home and started listening to it and was slightly disappointed. The songs I heard off the set that I think are the more popular ones are the more traditional sounding songs that sound more inspired by the music from Egypt. But the majority of the songs that I had not heard were very modern techno music. I like techno sometimes, but I was looking for more traditional Egyptian music. My suggestion is to listen to samples of all the songs first to see if you like a lot of them. If you only like a few, you might be better off getting the songs individually from iTunes.

This album would be a value if it were 1 CD, and it's 3!
Almost every song is awesome and all are palatable. I've already started a list of will become choreographies. I highly recommend this CD set for people who like middle-eastern, electronica and Indian fusion. |
