nice grinder, worked fine for 6 months then the last 2 weeks it started making awful noises when grinding and today it wont grind anything accompanied with a whiff of smoke. not what i expect from a $450 grinder

Timing a dose doens't work well regarding dosages. We spent allot of time getting it right then next day we used it the volume of grounds were too small, so there goes that aspect. The housings plastic so it doesn't look like it's gonna last long. The digital readout has to be read at the right angle or you wont see the setting. I'm 6'-2" and the counter is 36" off the floor so all I see is "000" in the display unless you're sitting in a chair or bending over. The porta filter holder is a cheap thin piece of metal. I made a mistake with this purchase. I should have bought a less expensive one or put the money towards a professional grinder. It's a gizmo that doesn't work as an automatic grinder. Never again.
