Works well until it starts jamming,

I bought this about 8 months ago. I use it for single cups of coffee, perhaps 2 times per day on average. It worked well until 1 month ago. Since then, it jams every time I grind beans. The user manual recommends cleaning the grinder when this happens. I have cleaned it thoroughly several times. I've even cleaned it with a compressed-air blower that we use to clean electronics. It doesn't matter how clean I get the machine, it jams after grinding about 1/2 tablespoon of coffee. I called Starbucks for support and was shocked to discover that they are declaring all of these machines (sold with 2 year warranties) out of warranty. I won't buy Baratza, or any electronics from Starbucks, again.

How to have better coffee,

Can't say enough about the grinder..our Star Bucks coffee is fresher & so good early in the morn. The only complaint I have about this item is that it is noisy, but guess that goes with the scheme of things...when hubby is operating the grinder, it's hard to talk on the phone & hear. The good outweighs the negative however...I would recommend this item to anyone. It beats the little one we also have which is messy & not practical.
My son-in-law is a true barista & he agrees with our purchase.

Looks great & works great, but its great flaw is that it has no measurement switch on it, i.e., you have to guess how much coffee to grind for what you need. All of the other grinders I've had you were able to set the number of cups....
