A great rock album!!,

There was a time I thought rock n roll was dead...and there was a time when I thought that good "new" rock n roll did not exist. Then, I began listening to Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirious Satellite Radio...and lo and behold I hear a slew of fantastic NEW ROCK MUSIC!! Bands like Locksley, The Grip Weeds, The Shazam, The Pete Best Band, Vibeke Saugestad, Cotton Mather, The Makes Nice...and THE CHEVELLES!! This is great music folks!!! Buy this one or any of the other bands I mentioned NOW!!! Awesome new rock music is out there...you just have to look for it!!! Screw top forty radio today...it's all garbage!! I feel bad for the kids today forced to listen to that sludge!!! We need another rock revolution in this country!! Lets start by supporting the bands I mentioned above, and many others, that are rockin' and rollin' their butts off!! Dave

Aussie power pop/rock that's worthy of your attention.,
By cookstar (Perth, Western Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Barbarella Girl God (Audio CD)
These guys originate from Perth in Western Australia, have been around for almost two decades and have released a number of earlier albums. This is a compilation record made up of select tracks from all of their previous work as chosen by those hipsters at their new record label Wicked Cool Records and as such is an excellent introduction to the band.Whilst some of the album is a good example of power pop, there is also the obligatory ballad "Goodbye Sally", a cover and live favourite of "For Your Love", it is when the band rocks out that they really shine. For me, "Zaragoza", "Get It On", "Stacey Loves Cocaine" and "Angelina Jolie" are the highlights of a really solid album which should interest any fan of fuzzed-out guitar pop/rock. They seem to tour the U.S. and Europe every couple of years and have appeared at the SXSW festival in Texas a few times, so you could do a lot worse than check these guys out live if you get the chance.
