5.0 out of 5 stars A great read!, November 3, 2009
This review is from: Barbarians in the Kitchen: Poems (Paperback)
Ginny Connors takes us into her world of keenly observed details and shows us that both the everyday and the unusual are worth observing. She shows us worms on the sidewalk, students shuffling to class in bedroom slippers, her husband strolling out to the garage, then turns around and gives us a panther snarling and snagging a child's arm as a circus tent burns. Ginny lets us into her life and her imagination. She lets uis see an albino tiger loose in Queens, lets us hear Anna Washington sing! It is a gift to the reader to see the world through her eyes, to share her delight in the details.
