Some of these Frantoia Barbera say 1 liter on the description page, then change to 500 ml on the add to cart page, so watch that, because the price is the same! That aside, this EVOO is the FINEST you'll ever taste! Worth every penny, use it for drizzling and dipping, never for cooking - there are lots of good olive oils for cooking - so savor every DROP of Barbera Siciliani Unfiltered Olive oil Di Casa, 34-Ounce right from the bottle!

This is totally delicious. Grassy, kind of peppery, kind of floral. Everything an olive oil should be. Somewhat spendy, but I'm worth it!

This is both glorious and a work horse. This is affordable, not precious, and this is the one the big boys use, Mario, Eric, that calibre of big boys. I cook with it, use it in vinaigrettes, roast with it, rely on it for everything. This is the one you want right next to your stove for all sorts of cooking, roasting, finishing. You get the idea. I haven't a penny to spare these days, but this is one of things I won't compromise on.

This olive oil is so good I use it for everything... cooking eggs, making popcorn, making salad dressing. I even use a TBS on a baked potato instead of butter or margarine... it's that good. I use it for everthing except frying and that is only because of the expense. It is a bit expensive but so worth it. I've been using this oil for a couple years now and would not consider using anything else. Try it... it will not dissapoint!!

Frantoia has been a personal favorite for over 10 years, having a remarkable capacity to resist oxidation
and maintain its freshness beyond most olive oils. All-purpose and one of the best values in the world today,
versatile, substantive, spicy, zingy, and reliable.

Frantoia is fruity, herbaceous and has a pleasant almond aftertaste. It is a blend of three olive varieties:
nocellera del belice, cerasuola and biancolilla. It’s versatile and can be used for cooking, soups, salads and
drizzling over vegetables, cheese, meat, and seafood. Celebrity chef Mario Batali used Frantoia on his Food
Network series, Molto Mario. Here’s the owner's tip for a grilled steak (which he loves with Maker’s Mark on the
rocks). "Immediately before serving drizzle a little EVOO and lemon over the grilled steak and sprinkle with sea
salt." Fantastic!

Some years ago, my sister went to Italy and stayed at a plantation home where they grew olives. She brought back freshly pressed olive oil in an unlabeled glass bottle. It was incredible. The olive aroma was pungent and taste was intense. Fast forward a few years and I discovered Frantoia by chance one day. I was at Whole Foods and saw it; I flinched at the $30 price but I've never had gourmet olive oil before. I figured it's like wine; there are cheap ones and expensive ones. I said screw it, let me at least try it. Wow.

While it's not quite to the level of the oil my sister brought back, this is some pretty darn good olive oil. As others have noted, this is wonderful olive oil. It is unfiltered, cloudy, oil with a peppery aftertaste that tingles slightly as it goes down the throat. On top of that, it's fruity and aromatic. It really smells like you just picked fresh olives and pressed it. Compare that to the typical, widely available EVOO which just tastes and feels like "oil". Highly recommended.
