This is a very cool toy... its 3 1/2 feet high and the first two levels are large play levels. It comes with several pieces of furniture and the top dome lights up and plays music. It's one of the prettiest castle toys I have seen. My daughter wanted it sooo badly so we found it at Target for $69.99. It does NOT come with the doll, but the doll that comes with this version is the regular Liana doll, NOT the singing one.

We picked up the singing one and a pet pack of the puppies. It's all very pretty and cute. She should be thrilled come Christmas. But do shop around before committing to Amazon's price.

A few days ago I looked on Amazon they had the Barbie and The Diamond Castle Playset for 99.00. I read one of the reviews and it said they purchased theirs at Target for $69. I bought the one at Target for the $69 and found the singing doll their too!

Today I noticed Amazon jacked the price for the castle playset to over $200....... what a rip.

GO TO TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why amazon hasn't dropped any of the prices on any of the toys I am going to buy this year. I found this at Kmart for $85.00. My twin girls (three years old) love this toy, and it was worth the investment, but my goodness is it pricey. I don't like to shop anywhere but Amazon during this time of the year, but looks like I will this year if they can't do better on their prices.

My brother got this for my daughter christmas 08. She hardly plays with it because it frustrates her. Everything is SO flimsy. The trim falls off. The furniture falls over constantly. The whole castle shakes and rocks when she tries to use it. Poor construction. Poor design. Very high price. Save your money and keep shopping.

If your child insists on this castle, they will NOT be happy with it once they've got it. Therefore, I recommend finding it second hand or something. However, if you can talk them out of it, it's a penny saved.

Grand-daughter loves it but it is not as sturdy or durable as some of the other comparable previously purchased playsets.

My 5 year old loves Barbie so this has been her favourite present from Santa. That said it is not very durable and you have to be very careful when moving it about and playing with it. I don't think it will last very long!

Avery, my 4 year, begged Santa to get her this toy for Christmas, and despite its' very poor construction, plays with it daily. The problem with the castle, is that it is made of very thin plastic & I fear, won't be standing much longer. The railing on the stairs is constantly falling off & overall the toy is not sturdy. For one hundred bucks, this toy should at least stay together!

Just to let anyone out there know that this item is at Walmart for $49.00 as of Jan 12 2009. Will make a great bday present for my daughter. She loves Barbie. Also, all of the diamond castle toys are marked down as well. I hope this is true for other walmarts out there. Good luck.

As my title says, my granddaughter really loves the castle. It is seriously overpriced for what you get, though. I would have expected it to be sturdier, more stable. You can tap it a tiny bit and the whole castle moves - which of course means the furniture inside it moves, usually to the floor.

I actually really don't care about the fun and educational values of this toy at this point any more - our four-year old wanted it and, at $69.99 or $99.99, for a short time we considered allowing it to occupy half of the play room. That was about a month ago. Needless to say, it disappeared from Target and ToysRus, and the Amazom price started to climb.

At the current $399.99 one would have to take out some kind of Barbie mortgage to buy this playset...

Now that real housing market has gone to dogs, are we moving into fantasy world to bankrupt that too?!
