Prince Derek Doll,

This review is from: Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses: Prince Derek Doll (Toy)
My daughter had plenty of princesses, but not even "guys" for all these gals! Derek to the rescue. He came with 12 pairs of shoes! So he has his work cut out for him. He can even stand independently.
We are very happy.

I love Prince Derek. He is one of the most handsome of the Ken dolls. He has the new Ken face. He is fully articulated and taller than the standard Ken dolls.
I have no problem with his outfit. I, myself, like the pants fabric. They are either fabric felt, velour or ultra suede. I also like the fact that there is an african american version too. :)

buying this doll is oneof the few ways you will be able to get any extra Barbie shoes this year.. but he comes with 12 pair, half of these are ballet slippers, some even with ribbons. and forget that sick review about his pants, there is nothing wrong with them, they are a kind of suedecloth and the cut is ample. Unlike many Ken dolls, this guy has articulated arms, which makes his wonderful to pose as a dance partner for the other dolls in the series. Buy him now as the prince in the new doll series does not have rooted hair which Derek here does have in abundance

Very cheaply made. Moons the world when it is bent.,

Not much positive to say about this doll. Bought two for Christmas 2006 to go with the barbie doll. This is one of the cheapest-made (in a bad way) dolls I've seen. The manufacturer's skimped on the pants material (I've not figured out what the exact material *is*...it isn't cloth) to the point where if a child bends the doll (as in a bow to his princess), he moons the world. You have to constantly tug the pants up to not have a permanent er "plumber's effect" on this doll. It's almost obscene.
