Barbie is annoying, but...
My 6 year old saw this book on clearance and insisted on buying it with her birthday money even though she knew how to read well. It kept her entertained for well over an hour and we both enjoyed the colorful engaging photographs and learned some new words. Letter "A" was the worst one and most of the letters were not as well represented as the letter "J."
I ordered this used book on the strength of the provided picture of the letter "J" page. I expect interesting dioramas but most of the pages are not very pretty illustrations and not very good use of Barbie accessories for the letters. The text in the borders of the page was an annoying design choice. I could have done better. Most of us could have done better. It...

My 6 year old saw this book on clearance and insisted on buying it with her birthday money even though she knew how to read well. It kept her entertained for well over an hour and we both enjoyed the colorful engaging photographs and learned some new words. Any Barbie fan who is an emergent reader might enjoy this, as well as toddlers just beginning to learn their alphabet. We really enjoy DK books. Note: This book is VERY big.

I ordered this used book on the strength of the provided picture of the letter "J" page. It cost me $4 to find that out and I can't regift this book because my used copy is smelly.
