Sure, Barbie used to be able to live a carefree lifestyle in her Malibu dream house, but those days are over now. The lady in pink has some responsibilities: two tiny pups and a kitten that need attention. The bitty critters fit in a palm-size basket and when you pet the pets, they make barking and meowing sounds. Also included are bowls, bottles (these are baby animals, after all), and handbags (this is Barbie, after all). Barbie herself is nattily attired in a green top and pink floral pants, and, thanks to magnets in her hands, she can hold either pets or props. The accoutrements are small and could be easily lost, so this set is best for slightly older kids. --John Moe
