Barbie CD Boom Box with Tape Recorder and Microphone

I just got this for my daughter's 5yr old birthday and she loves it! The only disappointment was the microphone doesn't pickup unless your mouth is touching it and there is no on/off button for the mic that can be switched on and off. Rather there is a button that the child must keep pressed down w/ her finger while singing.

My mother purchased this item for my daughter for her December Birthday. My daughter loved the item, however she didn't want to let me know that there was a short in the electrical cord because she knew I would insist that it be returned. We returned it and bought another one exactly like it from another store and it also had an electrical short in the cord. We then decided to switch to another brand and have had no problems at all.

It's a great concept with nice features, but it's not safe or durable enough for children's use.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. We took it out of the box - plugged it in and can not get the CD player to play. One time - it did finally play and then after that - nothing. How in the world could my 4 year old get this to work if I cannot get it to work myself. It is not a durable item and frankly - not quality made. I'm taking this back and checking out the Disney CD player instead.

This barbie boombox is so cute. It plays radio (fm and am), plays cds, and cassette tapes. The boombox can tape music from the radio and i am sure that it can record from cd to cassete.

I recieved this product for a birthday present and fell in love with it as soon as i saw it. It is barbie themed and has a rose on it. I would recomend this product for a barbie fanatic, or a girl who likes barbie. I use the boombox every day and i think it is a very ingenious product produced by mattel.
