If you or your child is the type of toy enthusiast that is all about playing dress-up with your dolls, consider this:

Christie's hair is factory set so the bandana fits on the top. If you want to put her in a different outfit where the bandana is tacky, you can it off, but her hair could look funky without it. The good thing is that it'll challenge you to find creative ways to do her hair without the bandana.

Just something to think about. This doll is very beautiful and her hair is the essence of african beauty. I would definitely recommend this one.

I love this Christie doll, she is one of my favorite AA Barbie's of all time. Her full, curly hair is so pretty! I really like the pink bikini she comes with, I also think the blue bandana is quit stylish. One of the most beautiful dolls I own! I recommend this girl to any Barbie or Christie fan!

This is the most lovely Barbie yet. She has gorgeous hair and one of the most beautiful faces on any doll ever. The Cali-girl fashions are very on-trend and much prettier than Bratz fashions. I think it's educational because having my daughter play with dolls of different skin tones helps open her mind and make her more accepting, and that is a form of education. Way to go, Mattel!

I think I like this doll better than my daughter does. I try to get her Barbies in various shades. This one is beautiful. Brown skin with kinky hair. Just fabulous!

I bought this for my daughter (3 years old) because she loves barbies, but I wanted to teach her, "barbie" is not only the blonde one, there is more color in the world.
And it's beautiful.

this is a very nice doll redressed as she has normal feet and can wear proper Barbie shoes. once you rip the bandanna off you will need to do something about her hair. one great look for her is to trim it and give her a nice retro afro hairdo... which goes well with the retro clothing you see in the stores for Barbie right now.
