I've missed Skipper since she 'went off to school' years ago. As a collector of all things Skipper, I was very excited when I heard they were bringing her back out in this camping line (which also includes Barbie, Ken, Stacie, and Kelly). The doll, which I de-boxed immediately, is high quality and very pretty. Unlike the current doll lines out, her head doesn't have that 'blown up' look to it (something I have never liked). The paint is very pretty and realistic. She has great blonde hair with purple stripes in the front.

Skipper is great for those who have kid who think Barbie is just too old, or those kids who are want someone who is 'just like them'. I hope this is the first of many new Skippers. Enjoy this doll!

This is a great doll. I especially like that this Skipper doll's body is made more like the older Skipper dolls. This doll also has bright pink and brown streaks in her hair, which are not shown in any of the pictures. My only complaint is that the doll's shoes are much too big for her feet and come off easily. Other than that minor thing, this is a great doll.

I was so happy to see Skipper return. My 7 year olds favorite doll has been my Skipper from childhood. Skipper was always my favorite and I related to her the most since she was closest to my age. I hope Mattell will introduce another Skipper with solid hair (just because Skipper is younger why does she need purple streaks in her hair - especially for camping??). I also hope to find more clothing options for her. She is a welcome addition to our Barbie family and I recommend her for anyone.

As another reviewer said, this is the first time Skipper has been back on the shelves in quite a few years, and as a doll collector it is great to see that Mattel has "gone back" and used the "tween" body mold from the 80"s unlike the "teen skipper" mold from the 90's with the more mature body and just for continuity sake it is fabulous to see ALL of Barbies' sisters represented in this Family Camping line...this Skipper looks just like any trendy 13 year old girl you would see around today...good job Mattel!

My daughter recently had a Barbie birthday party, and this Skipper doll quickly became a favorite. Even her not-so-girly older sister likes this Barbie. I personally love the whole Camping Family, because every one of them is dressed modestly...shirts that cover cleavage and shoulders, no bare midrifs, and longer shorts. THANK YOU to those who designed these clothes! It's nice to find modestly dressed Barbies for my girls to play with and I have been so pleased lately to see so many that are. This Skipper is pretty and stylish. Great barbie doll!

I just know that my little cousin will love Skipper as I did when I first got my doll. She'll end up being a collector too.

This Skipper Doll was purchased for my granddaughters (in the Grummy toybox at my home)...the 3 sisters with dark hair love the streaks in the dark hair Skippers, and my blonde granddaughter had been hoping for a blonde in the mix. I didn't think I'd find one around...THANK YOU!! Only problem I saw was with the shoes...they look like they'd maybe fit KEN?????? They all would rather play with the Skipper & Stacy (and Chelsea) dolls than the Barbie (and friends), but wish we had more clothes to add to the collection for the "sister's sisters".

I bought this Skipper doll for my daughter as soon as it came out. It has gone up in price, probably due to the New Skippers being presented are brunette, go figure. Now because of the new Christmas movie, my daughter wants the New brunette doll.

but she is very pretty and my neices will just adore the hight quality doll.
