I was very pleased with this purchase. I did'nt expect to see the exact duplicate to my well worn Stacy from girlhood. I never knew the story behind Stacy.Mine was purchased from the bargain bin from a discount store without a box, just wearing that suit. This was the late seventies when my mom brought her home. She was strange looking to me because by that time she was outdated, and did'nt look like my other Barbie dolls. She soon fit in. Because she fit perfectly in my hand-me down Barbie clothes from a cousin who no longer played with barbies she soon became my favorite. When I saw this repro on-line I did not hesitate to order her. I am pleaded with my purchase. She comes within a cover box that tells her story, inside is a after five detailed mod outfit (N0 glue or velcro fastners here!)and Stacy wearing that signature suit. I highly recommend this collectable.

In 1969, Mattel introduced another doll into Barbie's ever-expanding world of family and friends. Stacey was Barbie's swingin' best friend from London, complete with a wardrobe of colourful, specially-designed Mod fashions! This Gold Label collector's edition (limited to 7,700 pieces worldwide) brings back the Stacey doll along with her "Nite Lightning" fashion ensemble.

Stacey comes dressed in a bright print swimsuit, with her red hair styled into a short flip. Just like the original doll, she has real rooted eyelashes and a Twist 'n' Turn waist. The "Nite Lightning" ensemble consists of a royal blue satin "swing" coat with puffed sleeves and sparkly brooch decoration, and a metallic "shag" dress. Matching blue stockings and low-heeled shoes complete her trendy Mod look. A re-print of an original Barbie fashion booklet from the period is also included, along with the COA and dollstand.
