I compared this Jet-Black raven Barbie #1 repro with the My Favorite Barbie Blonde #1 repro, and this is the superior sculpt. The forehead is higher, the lips are fuller, and the eyes are painted a little better. I will have to buy another one to debox, but this has the BEST #1 repro Mattel has done yet.

My daughter gave us this set for Christmas as we had just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. It's a very special keepsake as Barbie also celebrated 50 years in the same year. The dolls are beautifully detailed in the original style I remember giving this same daughter when she was very young. It brings back a lot of good memories!

purchased for my daughter who has collected barbie's since she was 1 when her grandmother purchased the first one. She is engaged to be married, thus the wedding day barbie purchase.

I still have my original Barbie and this repro Barbie is an exact copy. I have another repro Barbie, but the hair is different. This one is just like my original Barbie. Her hair is the same dark brown color and she has the curly bangs like the original, the 35th anniversay dolls hair was different. I love this Barbie, I had the original wedding dress too. So to see the repro dress again like it looked when it was new was just amazing. I never had Ken (really didn't want him) but it is fun to see them together. The box is great for display and I am not going to take them out. I have all my old 50's and 60's toys in a guest bedroom, so it works great just sitting up on the bureau. If you had the original Barbie and no longer have her, you'll love this. If you wish you had her, get this one, and the dress is just perfect. The attention to detail in this dress is amazing. I love her garter belt, so cute and her little gloves and pearl necklace, love it!!!
