Lucille Ball's all-time favorite I Love Lucy episode...The Operetta - has wacky Lucy Ricardo borrowing money from her woman's club treasury. Then the group needs the money to stage an operetta! To save the $100 royalty fee, Lucy writes her own musical about Lily of the Valley (Ethel) and Prince Lancelot (Ricky) whose love is thwarted by the gypsy queen, Camille (Lucy). Lucy rents costumes and scenery using a postdated check, assuming the money to cover the expenses will be available in the club account after the show! Naturally, the production is interrupted by moving men repossessing the sets and costumes and Lucy is carried off stage, singing and slapping her tambourine.

This is the 9th doll in the I Love Lucy series by Matel. Just one look at her and the episode starts to play in your head. I've always loved Lucy and collecting the dolls from the I Love Lucy show has been a lot of fun. I wait anxiously every year for the new addition just like a little kid :o)The doll looks just like Lucille Ball's character Lucy Ricardo, I just love these dolls and I'm sure all Lucy fans will love them just as much.

this is #9 and i have all dolls in this collection so far and thay just keep getting better and better i cant wait to see the next one LOVE these dolls

I think this product is great. AS a Lucy fan I love the fact that AMazon.com keeps Lucille Ball's spirit alive. She is the best comedian ever and I love Lucy was and still is a hit. Its rewarding for Lucy Fans to be able to purchase I love Lucy memorabilia on your website. I hope you continue to do so. I love this doll the Operetta. It is adorable just the cutest thing ever. I've purchased all my Lucy dolls from you guys because you guys are the best. FOr kids I think it is great too because many kids still watch I love Lucy and they are still able to have fun with her as a doll. Overall this doll is a 5+.
