5.0 out of 5 stars a big hit with my niece
I bought this for my niece's birthday. She loves it, especially how the dress, hairdo, and shoes are an exact replica of a Debbie Harry look (there's a photo on the back of the box). She also reports that the microphone is awesome.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why no Custom Face Mold?
My only issue here is the face mold is still Barbie, so instead of feeling like a "Debbie" doll, this just feels like a Barbie with Debbie's hair and dress. Couldn't Mattel have designed a facemold specifically for an entertainer whose appeal lies so much in her incredible face & bone structure? Should have been a no-brainer.

Still, kudos to Mattel for...

Still, kudos to Mattel for immortalizing in vinyl this performer who, in her heyday, was more than once referred to by journalists as a "pure punk Barbie doll." Now she really is one!

I happened to find it at Toys R Us - the Barbie Pink Collection has truly outdone itself with their collection of Barbies. When I saw Debbie Harry, it was an instant buy! I love the box, and how they have her posed in it. As a collector, she will NOT be taken out the box. I suggest her as a collectible, not a toy to be pulled and played with.

My boyfriend actually purchased this as a Christmas present for me. I've only recently decided to start collecting Barbie dolls, so this was the first in my growing collection. She is BEAUTIFUL. Mattel has always made such high quality products, in my opinion, and this is certainly one of them. All the detail that went into this doll is pretty incredible, right down to the stitching in the dress. I haven't taken her out of the box (and I doubt I will), but she is a joy to look at. Plus, it's DEBBIE HARRY! You can't get more awesome than that.

At under $30, you get what you get: Barbie pretending to be Debbie Harry. If and when I take it out of the box, it will be tough to make that connection at all. This doll will look like any other wanna-be punk Barbie. You know the type...
But her overall look fits the spirit of the great DH and this two-tone haired doll will know doubt prove a great educational tool in teaching my baby daughter about some of the greatest music in the pop music catalog.
