Book Description

4 and upP and up
Barbie’s little sister Kelly can’t wait to go to the fair and ride the Ferris wheel–all by herself! But when she gets there the ride looks a lot bigger–and a lot scarier–than she imagined. With Barbie’s help, Kelly learns that sometimes it helps to have a big sister to hold on to when you’re trying new things.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kids will relate, August 20, 2009
This review is from: Barbie: A Day at the Fair (Step Into Reading, Step 2) (Paperback)
It's an exciting day! Barbie and her little sister Kelly are going to the fair. Kelly can't wait to ride the Ferris wheel until she sees it. It's big... really big. Barbie and Kelly have fun doing various other things at the fair while Kelly finds the courage to ride the big wheel.

This short, simply written book has a story that little kids will relate to (who hasn't felt afraid?) within the fun, visually rich setting of a fair. Easy readers seem a little pricey to me for the page count, but this is a story your little girl will want to read again and again and again.
