Poor quality, as most of the new Barbies...,

We bought this for our daughter because the price was reasonable and the cool hair color caught her eye, however within 10 minutes of playing with her, the wings broke off her back. They are not removable wings and the result of the wings breaking off was a sharp plastic barb sticking out it's back. We thought it was a fluke, so we went back to the store and tried to pick up a new one. They had sold out of the blue ones, so we ended up getting a pink one. To our surprise, the wings broke off the next day with the same post "barb" sticking out of her back. Needless to say, she does not play with this doll any more. Oh - and it's dissapointing to me that most of the new Barbie dolls don't come with removable outfits. This doll only has a cheep tutu. The rest is painted on. I don't even remember it having any shoes! Just wanted to let everyone know...

My 5 year old little girl had broken her doll's wings and had been begging for another. She was beyond thrilled and surprised when she opened this the day after Christmas. She was convinced that Santa's head elf, Simon sent it to her. :)

With all due respect to the positive-rating reviewer, I saw nothing on the box that proclaimed that the wings were removable. We purchased this doll because we had such a horrendous time with her leader "Mariposa". Well, let's just say that she is not much better. Her wings broke off after circa two months. You can cover the semi-dangerous spike that is left protruding out of her back with the doll's hair. Or, you can throw her in the trash so she can eventually be pecked at by a rather dirty seagull at your local landfill, which is the fate that she deserves.

According to the "Barbie in Fairytopia" movie, Barbie must sacrifice her wings to help rescue her friends. She then has to earn them back. The wings are supposed to come off so children can play along with the movie. The "spike" in the back is actually shaped like a heart. I love this doll and I think she looks exactly like the movie.
