I am 18 years old, and this doll got me interested in collecting Barbies again. She is GORGEOUS, and it may be difficult to tell from the picturs, but she actually has real eyelashes! I've never seen a Barbie doll with real eyelashes before, and they work so well on her! She has glittery eyeshadow and teh detail on her face is just incredible! I love how her arms and legs are subtly spray-painted lavender in parts, which gradually fades back into her skin. It gives a good diea of how well she was made, and the flower tattoos on her body add a definite touch of fantasy and imagination.

Her clothes are also gorgeous, even though they are a big skimpy. Her wings took me a while to figure out how to get on--if a child is buying this, the parents may want to add the wings first; there's really no reason to take them off once they're put on, so you won't have to worry about it again after you do it once. The holders of the wings snap two different places--the front and the back. When they're snapped to the front, they hang on the sides of her skirt, and they don't really look like a gown, but they are quite elegant and magical. When they snap to her back, you can press the button on her back to make them flutter, which is absolutely lovely. It is a bit difficult to see the doll though when your finger is on the button because of the way you need to hold her, so I usually flutter her wings in front of a mirror.

Her hair is very creative--it's divided into pigtails that are fastened with sparkly flowers, and each pigtail is twisted around tiny braids, intricate woven into her hair.

The little fairy sprite she comes with is also surprisingly well-made. You'd think that as a bonus they wouldn't care about it much, but if you look at her closely, you can see there is a lot of detail on her face, and she has tiny pink flowers around her head.

She even comes with a map of Fairytopia that's tied with a lovely ribbon, and a booklet with gorgeous artwork in it.

I LOVE this doll! It's beautiful, and a lot of fun to play with! HIGHLY reccommended!

Ok, I don't usually do this type of thing, but after reading the reviews, I thought I had to say a few things.
First, It is a freaking doll, not a role model. Children NEED to be able to use their imagination. She is a Fiary, based on a movie. If you watch Star Wars, then go out and buy a Queen Amidala doll, wouldn't you be upset if she wasn't wearing something similar to the outfits in the movie? Yes!
Next, Yes, the top is made a little poorly( my daughters broke in half). I wish they would have made it like some of the Fairies, they have a built in necklace which holds the top on better. O-well you can't have it all. I know when i had Barbies, i had about 15 single shoes that i had lost the matches to, it happens. So you can buy a separate outfit if you'd like and just use the shirt.
And finally, about Bratz...I would rather my daughter play with dolls that may have an unrealistic body shape, than playing with dolls that look like getto hootchies. They have lips and eyes the size of watermelons a wear clothes that you would expect to see on a street corner. You cannot tell me that the Barbie clothes are skimpier than Bratz. If a girl wore the outfits those dolls (Bratz)wore, everything they had would be showing. So let's not say they are more realistic in the fashion area.
My final word, they are dolls, they are meant for your child to have fun, play with, break if they feel like it and use their imagination. If you don't like what they are wearing, simply don't buy them. Have a nice day! :)

I agree with a previous reviewer that it would be better if Lenara were wearing more clothes. However, the tattoos are neat, kind of different and other-worldly. It comes with a sprite, a map of fairyland, and a booklet with stories. The wings do convert from a dress to wings. Her top does not stay on, which might offend touchy people. Lenara is a fairy who helps the sprites to fly, or something like that. My daughter plays with it more than her Barbie.

WOW! I know it's 20$ (where I am),but it is soooo worth it! I have 5* for EVERYTHING! it is VERY fun, durable (nothing broke) AND it's educational, 'even if you different, your still beautiful!', also you can do way cool gair do's on her hair. This is a WONDERFUL DOLL, it may be a bit exspencive but it is sooo worth it!

My daughter loves fairies, and all things magical. This set of dolls is a great toy to help her imagination soar. I love the fact that the the concept for this doll hasn't been broken. Fairies and make believe are so much fun.

For all of you who are saying 'oh her top is so skimpy, it doesn't stay on, blah blah blah'; I think this needs to be said: IT'S A FAIRY DOLL!!! Of course her top is going to be skimpy! And if you have a problem with that shirt please just keep your mouth shut cause welcome to the world of fairies and make belief!

I love fairytopia and those bratz are stupid and sooooooooooo getto! I mean, she's a fairy! What do you expect? A 1700s gown that takes 5 people just to get the underware on? I don't think so! By the way she's so much fun and she's very durable! One of the best dolls I own!

I bought this for my grand daughter and it was beautiful.The hair was exquisite,the wings were dilicate and seperated in places after use. The only thing I did not like was when my grand daughter "undressed" her the top was not able to go back on again so she plays with this doll with another dolls clothing on it.Wah!

I got this doll from my grandma as a present. I renamed my doll Violet and sprite Lavender. To tell the truth, I like the sprite better. The doll's eyelashes are really long and ugly, but her hair is beautiful . It is a rich shade of red and is in braids. There are a couple smaller braids tied into the larger braid. And to inform other reviewers, if the wings break off, they just pop back on. I ususly just leave the wings off so I can put Violet in other clothes. The little sprite is very cute. I took off her wings, though. She looks better without them. The big doll's clothes are pretty, but not as durable as Mattel could have made them. The part of the shirt that goes by the neck broke off and a bit of the skirt ripped. Overall, I give it a 4 stars because of the big dolls's uglyness and the bad durablity.
