Barbie Happy Family SHOPPING FUN PLAYSET Grocery Store

I bought this as soon as I saw it in the store, and it's a winner. I love the fact that the Happy Family sets aren't all pink and purple, and with the exception of the Birthday Party/ playground set they're well-made for the price. This little grocery store is adorable! The shelves are actually big enough to hold all the grocery pieces, plus some others I've found from kitchen sets I've purchased. The only serious flaw is that the apples are all in a big bunch, and you can't just take a couple off the shelves to play with. Even though I bought this for my collection, my daughters begged to play with it, and they've had a ball. They love the little cart for Ryan, and it's held up very well. For the price, this grocery store is loads of fun, sure to keep kids of any age entertained.

My daughter thinks this one is great. We were lucky to get the shopping Midge along with this supermarket set. Lots of pretend food to play with. Since Mattel has come out with Happy Family dolls, houses, and gift sets we have managed to get all of them. I am running out of room to put these things. I see that Midge and Allen have some new neighbors. Can't wait until I find these sets. Thanks MATTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter received both this set and the Midge with shopping cart set together from Santa this year. She and I both love this toy! It's fabulous to be able to actually put the items on the shelf and have them stay! The only thing I can possibly find wrong with this is the little cardboard squares that fit on the back of each shelf. They have pictures of the foods/items that belong on that shelf to give the store that fully-stocked look about it. I assume these stay on the shelves, or at least I KNOW we're leaving ours on there for appearance sake...however, they tend to fall over from time to time, knocking over the food on the shelf...or they are buckled in the middle, making it difficult to set the food on the shelves...my solution is a simple one...tape or glue and you're all set.

I'm more than pleased with this set as well as the Midge with shopping cart set. They both go hand-in-hand and I most definitely recommend purchasing both together for that special child in your life.

this toy is soooo cool. the food looks real. loved the stickers .the cash registeropens just like a real one. i love this toy!.if i was a mom i woul buy this toy .thats why my dad bought me this toy and for no reason!.except that i had to get good grades.but i get good grades anyways.anyway this toy has a shopping cart ryan it also brings money and coins this toy is the best. so BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!

this set is lots of fun! the only thing i don't like about it is that the back of the middle shelves falls out constantly! otherwise it is a wonderful set that i have had hours of fun with.

Shopping Fun is a wonderful play set. It keeps my granddaughters busy for, quite literally, hours. There are so many ways to set up the store, rearrange it, add to it in creative ways, and to just enjoy it. I recommend it highly.

My daughter loves the barbie that isn't part of the fashion world, but more of the domestic diva. Thus, I thought this would be a perfect match. The only part of the toy that still gets play is the shopping cart and all the mini grocery items that come with it. The cash register, produce scale, and grocery shelves have made their way into the toy abyss (the closet). If you can catch this on sale (a good sale) and your daughter loves the domestic diva barbie this is an okay buy. If not, save the money for a more interesting set--vet, dog hotel, house, car. It is a good idea and wish there were more sets of this nature, but this set was not up to my expectation, not alot of fun, and kind of flimsy.

i am a big happy family and babrie fan although i'm almost 12
but my mom just ordered this item online but i have played with my cousin my main question is does it come with dolls ?
but i will not keep any one for ever reading a 10,000 word thing based on this all i want to tell parents is this is a great fantastic toy for your kids to play with and get educated by

I am giving this as a gift and ordered it online not having seen it in a store. It came emblazoned with Barbie on the front. I had no idea it was a Barbie product. Nowhere in the description does it mention this. I'm not a Barbie fan and probably would not have ordered it but I don't feel like returning it now. Just thought others might want to know.
