Gorgeous Silkstone Barbie with highlights in her hair.

Silkstone is the composite which Robert Best and Mattel agreed upon to use for these special design dolls. They are heavier than the regular plastic dolls and more durable. With silkstone, Best was able to design intricate details that you generally find in porcelain, but without the breakable tendency of fine porcelain.

This doll is one of the finest examples. They can wear all Barbie outfits, though Barbie cannot wear all of theirs. These models are slimmer than traditional Barbies. Easy to dress, to sew for, and to play with.

A+ for the lovely Silkstone dolls and Highland Fling in particular.

I own a highland fling silkstone doll and I would easily say that she has one of the most beautiful face among the silkstone dolls. Very flirty yet refined. I love the details of the face make up as well as the hair. Though she should have a very nice black high heels instead of the slippers (very unflatering). I wonder how she would wear it if someone will debox her. I might give her a nice high heels. I hope, next time, all silkstone dolls will have a nice shoes instead of slippers like this one.
