My daughter loves role playing with her Barbie Dolls and this Fashionista Version of Ken is a great idea. Dressed in contemporary clothing, this doll/action figure has a lot of versatility. The doll is constructed of a hard plastic body/extremities, a rubber head and synthetic hair. The figure articulates at the neck (rotate/flex), the shoulders/elbows/hips are multidirectional, and the torso rotates and flexes. The figure does not move at the ankles or wrists.

The clothing is affixed by Velcro. He has a "straw" hat made of plastic and he has rubber slip-on shoes.

The packaging is relatively easy to take the figure out, but I do not understand why the manufacturer does not utilize wire straps that can be untwisted.

My daughter loves her toy and continues to role play with her other action figures. She plays with her dolls in conjunction with the old Large Sized Star Wars Action Figures that I passed on from my childhood to her.

This makes a great stocking stuffing given it's streamlined packaging.

I bought this on sale for $4.7x at Target for my 5 year old daughter as a small Christmas gift. She has lots of Barbies but we seem unable to keep Kens around due to decapitation issues. I don't know what the problem is, but all of the Ken dolls have stiff heads that pop off with small amounts of pressure. The heads are then difficult to reattach.

My favorite things about this Ken doll are his hip urban threads and his "real" hair. For once, the shoes are easy to remove and replace and his and clothes look like something a man living in the last decade might wear.

As always with Mattel toys, be prepared to spend time and energy removing this doll from the box.

It remains to be seen if his head will stay attached. I will update my review once we have owned the doll longer.

His hat, hair, and clothes are very cool. He was also very posible. His shoes and hat stayed on very well. He was my favorite of the fashionista ken dolls.
