This item is a great way to learn to dance. I dance myself and this is amazing. if you want your kid to not only learn to dance but share what she learned with her friends, this is great. My daughter is 7 and she is lovin it!(even if she already takes dance lessons,she could share it with her teacher)

I'm a big fan - along with my 4 nieces - of the Barbie video games. (We own 5 or 6 of them between us.) But this time Mattel missed the mark. You must be very careful of the system requirements before you purchase this game. It crashed one computer and brought another to a standstill, constantly locking up the program. (Yes, we were above the minimum system requirements with the second computer.) The choices for clothing and stage setting are limited and not fully interchangeable. Most of the dances were one move repetitions once they got into presentation. The speaking parts were halting and the movements were either jerky or sluggish. We may have had a bad CD, but I don't think so. Gamers, buy this one with caution.

This game is loads of fun. I should know, since I got it for Christmas. I am 9 years old, and I play this agame everyday. In the game, you can design the clothes, pick out props, chose the Gen Girls that you want to dance, and also chose their dance moves. I played this game for a whole 6 hours one day. I just couldn't stop since it is so much fun! This game is probably for kids ages 7 and up. I would reccommend that you buy this game. You won't ever want to stop playing once you start!

This program has resulted in some classic family video for our family as my daughter has been dancing with Barbie! My five year old LOVES it. She changes the dancers outfits constantly, and the "gliter" feature is her favorite. It is possible to pick more than one dancer and have them do their own sequence in the final "show". The variety of dance moves is extensive and the music is actually pretty good (not irritating like the Barbie boom box - for those of you who are familiar with that product). Only negative comment is that the final dance show is somewhat difficult to stop if you are not interested in viewing the whole thing. Overall, Great fun!

You will be able to play this game for 20 - 30 minutes at a time as it will get boring-kind of.But it is pretty cool.You can create Barbie's clothes,dance-moves and concert.

Generation Girl Gotta Groove is really cool. You can pick the person you want to dance, pick all the dance moves, and even pick out the costumes. After you do all that you go and preform(you pick the settings for that too) The only downfall is that it is sometimes slow when you pick the moves. Other than that everything is really cool.I would recomend this product for people between 9-13. Hope this review was helpful!

Your Generationgirl Gotta Groove is the worst $30 dollarprogram I have ever purchased. We first ran it on our kids 166+/3dgraphics/4 speed CD/full installation - the system went to its knees. Then on dad's 400Mhz system and the s/w still ran slow. Mouse response was very bad. The programs run time game options for the users is very bad. I will be taking this program back. I don't think I will ever buy another Matel program.

I think that the Generation Girls Cd-rom is very boring to me. I played it and thought that it wasn't that fun. You couldn't create your own dances, people or music. I really like doing more karoke then this Barbie Gotta Groove Game.

We had tremendous trouble with this software. It didn't work about 25% of the time. It would actually freeze up the computer. First software for which I wanted a refund. Needs work!

I think little girls will have fun with this game!Creating Barbie(and friends) outfits,dance moves,concert settings and,last of all,concert.I don't think anyone will want to play it for very long,however.The game still works on a processor that is slightly slower than required.
