We purchased this toy because like most little girls my duaghter loves Barbie and anything princess. She has played with it everyday,it's become one of her favorite toys. I found the key to open the castle is a little difficult at first for her to work and the knob on the back to start the lullaby music feels loose. This hasn't stopped her enjoyment of the toy though. The crowns on Barbie and Chrissy are sewn on with black thread, the one on Barbie came off the day we opened it.Overall this is a good buy and has brought hours of fun for my daughter.

Beware of glitter!,

My 3 year old daughter received this set as a gift, and it is her first Barbie. She absolutely adores both dolls and plays with them every day. I was somewhat shocked at how much glitter could possibly be on one small toy such as this. The glitter gets on everything! It was a good two weeks before we stopped having glitter sightings. The company really should revise this issue, and use glitter that doesn't fall off. Anyway, take the doll outside and give it a good shaking to lessen this problem. One other thing, the hair on both dolls is dissappointingly cheap and hard to manage. If the hair comes out from underneath the crown, there's no way of combing it back.

My daughter got this set for Christmas. She loves Barbie, and this set..but, from Mom's point, it's far from the best Barbie set we've used.First off, at least in our set, the mobile WILL NOT ATTACH. The post is too short, so it won't fit through the hole on the crib/stroller. Not a big deal, but more than a bit aggravating and kind of disappointing. And since that was the first thing I did to assemble this, it may've just started me off "in a mood". Secondly..I found the batteries very hard to put in. I didn't see anything saying a jewelers screwdriver was necessary...but even my small screwdriver was still too big. The music (which is VERY loud, I might add) kept going off while I was trying to install the batteries, but the compartment was very difficult to screw down, and it stripped the screw before it actually closed! Lastly, I don't think the crib rocks as well as it could. It seems jerky..hardly what I would do when trying to rock a baby to sleep! :o) So if you're expecting a smooth rocking motion, don't be surprised if you don't get it. Overall, it is a cute playset, and it is enjoyed by my daughter, and likely will be by your child as well. Let's just say I wouldn't take it back.

Disappointed,

I was disappointed in this toy after buying it for my 3-year old daughter for Christmas. The attachment that rocks the cradle is already broken (it never worked great to begin with). The knob to turn the cradle rocker also doesn't work properly. There are many tiny accessories that are easy to lose. The accessories that are supposed to fit on the cradle, like the mobile, don't stay in. The dolls are okay, but the rest of the toy seems cheaply made. Not worth the $20 I paid for it.

fit for a princess,

My 3-year old daughter was thrilled when she received this for her birthday. At first, I was nervous that she would not be able to figure out the key opening, but she picked it up almost immediately. She loves the music that plays when you open the castle as well as the cradle rocking feature. This toy has really sparked her imagination, and I am pleased that it seems to be improving her fine motor skills as well!
I gave this 4 out of 5 stars because the Barbies do seem to be of a lesser quality than normal, but she certainly does not seem to care.
