"I KISSED BILL HOLDEN!"

I Love Lucy Episode 114, "L.A. at Last!"
The one for sale here is (1) not in its original box and (2) is missing a coffee cup she is holding. I feel this price is a little high.

Who can forget those hilarious words coming from the mouth of comedy's Queen -- Lucy Ricardo. This doll wonderfully captures the detail of Lucy in her hilarious best as she tries to disguise herself while meeting actor, William Holden, who visits their apartment in California after an embarrasing meeting in a restaurant earlier that day. Ricky is unaware that Lucy made a spectacle of herself while dining, then brings home the actor to surprise Lucy, but the surprise is really on the two gentleman as Lucy tries feverishly to form a putty nose (which catches fire when she lights her cigarette) and then puts out the flames in her cup of coffee. This doll even includes the tiny coffee cup! Lucy's head wrap, her putty nose, and beautiful black gown are perfectly crafted here to create the ideal addition for any Lucy fanatic's collection. I've had this particular one for years, and can't wait till more are issued to add to the shelves! The only reason I rated a "3" for educational value is because these dolls are made mainly as collector's pieces which don't leave their boxes, and other than being displayed for your viewing pleasure and their nostaglic factor, they really serve no educational value.
