First I have to say that my almost 5 year old loves all things Barbie especially fairies and the magical series that is now out. She loves the toy, however, she and I were both surprised that the wings have to be inserted (looks as if they are already in while in store) and that they can fall out. My daughter doesn't just look at her toys, so this horse is flying all over the house, but it is frustrating when one of the wings pops out. I am considering super glue or maybe even exhanging to see if another would be better made. I was so surprised by this....but when I think about it, half the toys out like this seem to have loose parts that you have to fix but the kids love them anyway!

I purchased this set to complement the Annika doll my daughter recently received. She does enjoy playing with the princess/pony set however, the wings continuously detach. Granted, the price is not astronomical like many other toys on the market however, that point is moot for little girls who just want to play with their doll and not have to ask for assistance every five minutes to attach the wings. Overall, Barbie products are great; I am just a little disappointed in the quality of this particular item.

I reciently bought this pink pony and Kelly for my 4 year old daughter. She had seen the Magic of Pegasus movie and had been begging me for it ever since. The wings are detached when you first take Kelly out of the box, but fit quite snug into the little holes made for them. I found that it is easier to keep Kelly on the horse (while in flight) if I used the rubber bands to attach her to the horse. My daughter only had the wings fall off once and I found that once I pushed them as far into their respective holes as they would go, they stayed put. (I also encouraged my daughter, at this point, to be a bit gentler with this toy). The only problem I had with this toy was the pony's mane. It was encased in plastic and I made sure I gently clipped the plastic piece off. The mane still frizzed anyway...Oh for the My Little Pony's mane! Other than that this toy has been wonderful for my daughter. Also the reason why I rated this toy 5 stars for education is that this toy is a little fragle and one does have to teach their child to be a little gentler with it than other toys out on the market today. I also plan on buying the other two pony's and Kelly's (yellow and purple) for myself and my other daughter.
