Ok fine....he IS kind of ugly,. but he's PERFECT for my actout!!!!His knees bend, his arms bend, oh and his hair....they seemed to put some men's hair gel so it's won't fly during the play. It's quite educational, because he tells kids not to be TOO disappointed...Yes.He dosen't come with skates, but on the bright side, he comes with shiver!!!And, why not make some skates???I don't have Brietta the pegasus, and yet, I made paper wings and used that for my normal horse instead...I don't have crowns, so took it off from my old princess Barbie. It's already a good smile for a MEN!!!!wHAT DO YOU EXPECT??(Oops....Capitalized....)Well overall....it;s a Barbie, it's prince Aidan,And he is kindof the main character, so why not try??His clothes are good afterall....Hope this Helps!! Barbie Fan

The doll looks nothing like the Aidan in the movie. Actually, his face is kind of funny looking. The movie Aidan is cuter. The doll could definitely have been made better!

First, let me say I bought this doll specifically for his clothes and nothing else. I know nothing at all about the movie he was in and he was purchased to create a special Christmas gift for an adult doll collector friend. That being said, this is a different viewpoint than as a straight out child's toy.The project planned involves a knight on horseback. I originally bought an old GI Joe for the knight and this doll to filch the clothing. Granted, Aidan did strike me as goofy looking, but he has something else going for him - his body is fully jointed. I didn't realize I could have used his body. I bought it on the internet and assumed he'd be the standard stiff Ken body perhaps with the "pop" knees. Not so. Aidan is designed to ride a horse - or a Pegasus, I'm assuming. His hair is also rooted, and therefore changed (by determined artists, obviously and not by children) if you can get past the Cheesy Phony Grin of Steel able to deflect shoplifters and shoppers alike which is plastered on him. For the artists who do OOAK (one of a kind) creations, the head can always just be popped off and exchanged, which is what I ended up doing. Overall, I was actually impressed with the doll itself. I can't see it as being very educational, however, no matter how you look at him - but that's just my thought on it.

The doll looks very princely and his arms can bend, which is great. That helps my kids put his clothes on.

I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. Ugly? Scary looking? Are you kidding? This is the handsomest doll I've ever seen! I am staring at the face and can't understand what anyone is complaining about-- lips or otherwise. Maybe Mattel improved the doll after hearing these complaints? If this guy came to life, he'd be a supermodel. ;)The clothes are also very nice. The hair has some kind of glue in it to keep it down. The one complaint I have is the crown, which does not even attempt to stay on. It's a cop-out on Mattel's part to include it-- it's just to look nice in the box, but it doesn't actually fit on his head.

I bought this doll because my son's name is Aidan. For me, it's just a keep sake for me, and I love it.

Aaaghhhh! My eyes! That has got to be the scariest looking guy mattel has ever come up with! His outfit is great, but honestly, I shuddered when I first saw his face.

Really disappointing, the need to do better work on the likenesses, and why no skates?,

My daughter was really keen for this doll and eventually I relented and bought it. It has proven extremely disapppointing. The expression on the face is quite inane, and it has been quickly relegated to being used as a bit of a patsy toy. the character in Pegasus is flawed, but he isn't stupid. I was annoyed with the crown, he wasn't, after all a Prince - he may have become one, but not during the movie so why put a crown on his head? My daughter really wanted ice skates for him as that is one of the key features of this movie. None of these characters come with skates it seems, yet there is a huge ice skating scene at the start, at least twice in the movie and a lovely double one at the end. I really like that the manufacturers have tried to make the expressions smiling and pleasant however I can't recall Aiden doing it once in the movie. Seems it was designed independently from the movie and without reference to it in looks. On the plus side, the costume stuff is all right and can be used with other dolls. it all seems to be very well sewn and hardwearing.
