Sweet Tale. Love Golden Books!
This book was a gift to my attorney from my daughter & I. She has a granddaughter named Clara & this book is the lovely, traditional, holiday story about a girl named Clara.

cartoon drawings, not at all like cover art
My 4 year old daughter loves the Nutcracker, but we were disappointed that this book contains an overly abbreviated version with cartoon drawings rather than a nice photo like you see on the cover.

This is a great introduction to the Nutcracker. Beautiful pictures and brief text. It's a quick bedtime read or a short story to accompany recommended Tchaikowsky classical CD of Ballet fame.
