Cartridge Only A huge underwater world awaits Barbie in BARBIE OCEAN DISCOVERY for Game Boy Color. In this one-player only game, Barbie dons scuba gear and heads underwater in pursuit of treasure hidden in the deep. Search through three different aquatic environments with a total of nine mini-games to play. If you beat a mini-game, you'll earn a part of the key to the next area. Once you've beaten a game, you can go back and play it any time to earn some extra treasure. Mini-games include a tile-based mix and match puzzle, an aquatic maze featuring one of Barbie's flippered friends, and others. All of the mini-games are relatively simple, so that even young Barbie fans can enjoy the game. Bright, detailed graphics bring Barbie and her underwater world to life. Use a password to continue your marine adventure another time. BARBIE OCEAN DISCOVERY is compatible with both Game Boy and Game Boy Color.

This game is dull, tedious and altogether boring. Girls software? Somebody can do better. A lot better. Unlike any good title worth its salt with multiple levels and the ability to keep a game going for hours and hours, this one is over the first time (if you have the patience to stick with it that long) and them I don't know who in their right mind would want to play it again. Two thumbs down.

Six year old daughter, loves Barbie, but found this game boring. She wants to return it for a better game.

I got this game for my 9th birthday. I zipped through it in less than an hour. It's probably better for kids under 7. My 7 year-old sister also beat it fast. The colors are great. The dolphin maze is a little hard, but the rest of the games are pretty easy. It might be better if there were some danger involved (like a shark or squid) and Barbie had to face it. Compared to Pokemon and Toy Story II, this game is really easy, the easiest of all the Gameboy games I have.
