5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Practice!
I am looking forward to 20 years time when I can have a baby and this is cool for practicing. Mummy doll is Midge but I call her Barbie! It comes with alot of accessories for the baby, not just furniture. The baby goes in the bouncer, or Barbie can cradle her/him. This is good practice but the pieces are VERY small and could get lost or be swallowed. But Barbie is a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Very cute, but arm broke
My daughters are a little young for this toy and aren't that into it yet. It is very cute, with lots of sweet, tiny, realistic pieces, and I can see it having lots of play value and somewhat educational. However, they made it so the arms are jointed in order that she can hold the baby. Well, my daughter threw the doll on the floor at the doctor's office and the bottom...

But Barbie is a responsible mother and won't let her baby be lost or swallowed so the baby is nice and chubby. There is a cot with pink canopy for when baby gets tired and when baby gets hungry there is a bottle and some nappies and everything you need... including a purple rattle! Bye!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mom's Nursery, April 21, 2006

I have this Barbie Nursery Playset and it compliments my barbie house quite well. The bouncy seat actually bounces (one must be gentle) and the keys are well loved by baby. The rest of the toys are ovbiously for an older sister or brother and that's cool, cause it teaches kids that they have to include the older children and teach them how to play with the baby. The crib is great-haven't had any problems with anything falling apart. The bottle warmer was a nice touch, an extra that doesn't usually come with kids toys today. The only problem I have with this toy is Midge. She lost her red hair and freckles! Other than that the arms do bend differently, it's so she can hold the tiny baby, and this barbie might be better off if saved for older children who understand the importance of being very carefull with the arms. All in all, love it! Keep up the good work Mattel!

My 4 year old daughter bought this set with her birthday money and loves it. The furniture looks darling in her doll house. The crib is really cute, though the little mobile keeps wanting to fall off. She uses the chair all around her doll house. Cute stuff, cute dolls. Reccommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very cute, but arm broke, April 7, 2006

My daughters are a little young for this toy and aren't that into it yet. It is very cute, with lots of sweet, tiny, realistic pieces, and I can see it having lots of play value and somewhat educational. However, they made it so the arms are jointed in order that she can hold the baby. Well, my daughter threw the doll on the floor at the doctor's office and the bottom half of the arm fell right off. Even if it hadn't broken, you have to place the arms just right or they look totally strange. This is the least favorite barbie my girls own. If it weren't for the arms, this would be a great toy. Oh, and the back of the dresser is open, so you can't really store the small pieces in it. Not sure why they didn't just close it up to make storage easier.

First, this is the new Midge. It has her name on the manufacturer review. My only problem is that I really like the pregnant Midge (also available), but she does not come with the furniture. So, I bought both. The nice thing is having two babies (because they are easy to lose). I wish they just sold the furniture separately. Anyway, the toy is lots of fun for my daughter and great for pretend play.

I loved this set.I bought the Caucasian version of it and I love it.The fact that it actually comes with the Midge and baby dolls is even better,as opposed to the "sold separately " thing.

1.It comes with a large purple print armchair(a feature I have found with no other set).
2.A purple bouncer(handy).
3.A canopy crib(Canopy is a nice feature).
4.A dresser/diaper table.
5.Accessories such as a bottle and key ring.

I would recommend this to anybody with a little girl.

Okay, what is mattel doing? They had a whole midge, happy family theme going, including grandparents, and it was great.

They introduced the new neighbor, with no name and a baby.

Now I went into toy'r us the other day, and I saw what looked like the happy family townhouse, but this one had the new neighbor, a husband, baby and little girl about kelly's age (all had no names.)

What on earth are they doing? They should continue the Happy Family theme.
